I first saw The Sheepdogs on Project Runway, where the designers were challenged to create stage clothing for them. I'd never heard of them and didn't expect much. But when they played a song, I was just blown away.

If you like 1970s rock, and especially the Allman Bros., bluesy, southern rock or roots rock, this is for you. It's straight-out good old fashioned rock music, like they made back in the 70s - but, somehow, also absolutely modern.

After hearing this I bought everything I could find by The Sheepdogs and am looking forward to hearing their future CDs. Get this - I promise you won't be disappointed.

I heard a song from this CD on the Graham Norton show on the BBC channel. The music takes you back to the 70s. They have beautiful voices and their songs are just terrific! I will buy more of their CDs definitely.

I saw The Sheepdogs on the Jimmy Fallon show and loved them. Their style on this EP is definitely a throwback to the 70's southern rock style. You can hear some Bad Company, Allman Brothers and more in their songs. This is a definite buy.

A friend turned me onto the Sheepdogs 2012 album (titled The Sheepdogs), and I loved it! After that, I got all their albums including Trying To Grow, Big Stand & Learn And Burn, but somehow missed Five Easy Pieces, so it was a must have to complete my collection and support their cause. Two songs are on other albums (I Don't Know on Learn And Burn & How Late How Long on The Sheepdogs), but the other 3 (Who, The Middle Road & Learn My Lesson) are not on any of the other albums. The songs done on this compilation as well as all the rest of their albums are good songs and very well done. The Sheepdogs are an awesome group, and always a joy to listen to. I would love to see these guys live, but living in West Virginia will never get a chance to (not in my budget to travel to Canada, although I wish I could). Get this and all the rest of their albums and rock out!!!

Great big guitars, thrumming bass line, and tight harmonies, it is easy to see the comparisons with bands like the Allman Brothers, the Sheepdogs bring a Canadian flavor to Southern boogie rock. It might seem weird but I love listening to the Sheepdogs while I am running, it jams and keeps me moving. The guitar work on "Learn My Lesson" is amazing, but so is "How Late, How Long".

It is like being back in the 1970's music scene! It is good to know that the younger generation can see what trash that we have for current Top 40 and they are able to go back to a better time and draw from it.
