I was disappointed when I got this book in the mail today. I love just about any book out there, but this one is not one I would've bought, had I had a chance to look at it in person. The illustrations are very cute, which is why I gave it 3 stars, but the text is outright boring. I know it's for babies, but there are other books out there that are more educational and entertaining. I ordered it to get my order over $25 to qualify for the free shipping, but that's about all I really liked it for. Would not buy again. (And if you need a little something to get over $25, check out Peek-a-Who; fun pictures and very simply rhyme with peek-a-boo windows and a cute surprise at the end)

This book is very simple (almost mind-numbingly so for adults), but it really does the trick! It's small and sturdy, so my 4-month-old can hold it herself and turn the pages (or chew on it when the mood strikes), and she really is mesmerized by the patterns and simple, color-contrasting illustrations. She laughed at each page when we first got it. Since it's small, it's also easy to tuck into my purse or the diaper bag for emergency entertainment when we're out of the house.

Bought as a baby shower "card" -- then the card lasts forever and the book is used later. Perfect for a baby book; simple, small and made of heavy weight board.

The Five Fish book arrived promptly and in great condition. The original met an untimely demise at the paws of a pet. It is being enjoyed immensely by my grand daughter.
