5.0 out of 5 stars An easy read that clarifies men's motivations and fears., September 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Five Keys for Understanding Men, A Woman's Guide (Paperback)
Five Keys for Understanding Men, has helped me to look at men differently. The light is now on as to what drives men's psyche. Although some of the information is somewhat shocking, I'm glad to be more enlightened about what makes men tick.

I think I'll be more compassionate towards men's basic needs as a result of this read. However, don't get too excited guys I've still got my standards.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent reading!, June 6, 2000
This review is from: Five Keys for Understanding Men, A Woman's Guide (Paperback)
Twenty-eight percent of all women murdered in this country are slain by their intimate male partners. Every twelve seconds a woman is beaten, raped or maimed by a man in this country today. Five Keys For Understanding Men exposes the deepest drives and most pervasive needs that lay at the core of the male psyche. Dr. Gary Malone and Susan Mary Malone collaborate to reveal the five needs driving the lives of all men, and that by knowing what these are, women can understand their men, who they are, how to predict their responses and actions in any given circumstance. Complete with case studies, checklists, as well as questions and answers, Five Keys For Understanding Men will enable women readers to separate the healthy traits of their men from the unhealthy, borderline, and dangerous ones. This is "must" reading for any mother of sons, as well as the wife, sister, daughter, friend or co-worker of a man.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a book that needs to be read by all women and men., October 12, 1999

I found that reading this book really does help us to understand men. I want my daughters to read it. I hope my sons read it as well. All women need help understanding men because we're all connected with them in some way. Men need to read it because the poor dears don't know why they do what they do any more than their mothers, wives, sisters or daughters do. This book helps us all to understand men's behavior. It is simple, to the point and has a good dose of fun. Well conceived, well written. Perfect as a gift. I am sure that holiday meal conversation will be very enlightening this year after my family reads it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Five Steps sheds true light on the oldest riddle of all!, August 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Five Keys for Understanding Men, A Woman's Guide (Paperback)
This is NOT your usual pop-psych-war-between-the-sexes type of book we've seen so much of recently. Dr. Malone draws on his extensive psychiatric background, mixing knowledge with personal experience and human anecdote. The result is an authoritative, informative book that speaks to the reader with a simple warmth. Kind of like having a cup of coffee with the good doctor across the table.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this book and hide it from your wife!, November 16, 1999
This review is from: Five Keys for Understanding Men, A Woman's Guide (Paperback)
Men! Buy this book and destroy it!

Women have no business understanding why you act the way you do and you probably don't want to know yourself. Susan and Gary Malone reveal too many male secrets that men try to avoid thinking about and women shouldn't concern themselves with. One can only wonder what drove Gary Malone to expose our vulnerable underside to the enemy in this book. If you can't keep your wife from reading Five Keys for Understanding Men, tear out the checklist in the back of the book first. Complicated subject, easy read.
