My son is 2 years old and LOVES this book! We borrowed it from the library and the first time I read it he was cracking up. This is actually unusual because normally he has to read something a few times before getting interested in it. We've been reading it every day, sometimes several times. I have fun reading and singing and he has fun listening. I'll definitely be buying this book to add to our permanent collection. I have a feeling it's going to be a favorite for years. A lot of fun!!

This book is a bit awkward to hold and read to a toddler. The book is very large and heavy and hard to balance in your lap as you read. Not ideal for bedtime reading while trying to snuggle with a little one. The illustrations are nice and it is a classic story.

My 13.5 month old LOVES this book. He will hand it to me to read, then hand it to me again as soon as I'm finished. Sometimes this happens many, many times in a row. I'm giving it 4 stars because he loves it so much - the missing star is because *I* get bored with it in 5 seconds. I'd much prefer to read something by Boynton or Dr. Seuss 7 times in a row, but if he's happy, I'm happy.

great childrens book nice way to start and a good twist to the end. my children loved it and soon were able to join in the repetitive words. fabulous pictures
