Cute drawings. Sure, it's a replay of 5 little monkeys. But it works, and my daughter loved it. And I enjoyed the illustrations.

First I should say that the illustrations are fine. But the text is awful. Not only is it a ripoff of "Five Little Monkeys" but it doesn't even rhyme. Is it so much to ask for the story to rhyme?
My kids like the story but they are not the most discerning.

Hey Scholastic!!! Publish THIS:
Five little goldfish swimming in the water
One of them bumped his head on the side of the bowl
The mother of the goldfish called the doctor and the doctor said:
"NO MORE GOLDFISH SWIMMING IN THE WATER!"

Five little goldfish drying in the sun,
They all got stinky and cooked well done,
The mother of the goldfish called the doctor, and the doctor said:
"NO MORE GOLDFISH DRYING IN THE SUN!"

Five little gold fish carcases lying on their back,
The guy who wrote this must have been on crack.
Mama called the publisher and the publisher said,
GIVE THAT GUY A BOOK CONTRACT!!!"
