More About the Author
Pamela Kennedy grew up in the Pacific Northwest, graduated from the University of Washington, then launched out with her Navy husband to visit a variety of home ports in the U.S. Writing was a portable career that traveled well and allowed her to hang around the house with her growing family. After leaving the Navy, the family put down roots in Honolulu, Hawaii for several years where Pam enjoyed teaching at a girls' school. Recently retired, both she and her husband have returned to Seattle where she continues to publish inspirational and devotional books for children and adults.

We bought this book to do with our kids aged 5, 4, and 2. It is the perfect length devotional for them. They all get excited to read the next story when its time, and even the little guy (2) sits for the pictures and question time following. We try to talk a little more in depth about each topic and the questions are an excellent jumping-off point. The Bible verse is also great as the kids are getting old enough to memorize scripture too now. The only thing I wish it had was a little prayer for the kids at the end like I've seen in some other devotionals, but we just create our own which is just fine. I'm pleased to see there is a next book too because I was already wondering what we would do when we ran out of devotionals in this book! :)

My twin 5 year olds and my almost 3 year old and I are almost done reading through this devotional for the first time. Not only does it capture their attention through the incredibly interesting animal facts and pictures, it has inspired many great discussions and has left me (the mom) feeling inspired and "filled up" as well. I highly recommend it to any parent with kids 2-12 or even older.

It's beautifully illustrated, and involves the child with thought provoking...yet simple questions to make a child think. This is good for kids under age 7. Our oldest kids are 4 and 5 and they have gone through this devotional book at least 3 times. I wish there were more books JUST LIKE this one!!!! Thank you! :) Don't even hesitate to buy this one.

My 5 year old and I both really enjoy this book!!! Great way of connecting the animal world and Gods plan together-- easy to understand and I love the questions at the end of each that tests a childs reading comprehension as well as gets meaningful conversation going between us. A must buy!!

We bought this for my 5 year old son and have read it at least 3 times through. He loves it. I finally hid it so we could read something else for awhile! The stories are cute, informative about animals, engaging, and have a devotional tie-in. Love it!

This devotional was just perfect for our family! We have a 1 year old and a 3 year old, and my husband works 2 jobs, one on night shift. We don't get a whole lot of quality family time, but I wanted to find some way to make our moments together count. Our 3 year old really looks forward to our family devotion time! She loves animals, so the stories are perfect for keeping her attention. Even I've learned some new things! The questions are occasionally a little advanced for her, but she can answer all of them with a little guidance, and loves being included in the discussions. Best of all, we can always find the time to fit the devotions into our hectic schedule since it only takes 5 minutes! I'm ordering the "More Five Minute Devotions for Children" book when we're done with this one!

We absolutely love this devotional. Each page is very durable (kid proof). Not only will your child learn about God's love for him/her through these wonderful animals he created, they will also learn about the animal. My children love hearing about each animal and how it relates to every day life.

Wonderful book. I bought this for my seven year old son & he loves the stories. We've been reading one a night and he doesn't let me forget one!! However I would recommend buying the "My Big Book of Five Minute Devotionals". For around $10 you get all the stories in this book plus many more!
