I loved this, only it was way to short for me. I laughed all the way until the end. This is a must read. I loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Plenty of Great Advice, Both Funny And Wise June 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I just finished 5 Successful Ways to Stay Depressed and it was so good it un-depressed me! I was laughing at every line, and recognizing someone I know in every line. How true it is, some folks just love being miserable, and do everything they can to perpetuate that state of mind. So much great advice and wisdom packed into just a few pages, and presented with lightheartedness and humor. This would make the perfect gift for all those sad-sacks I know who just love to wallow. Thank you so much to the author for putting things in perspective, it was my smile for today '

5.0 out of 5 stars This book did not help me stay depressed May 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
On the surface, the advice in this book appears like it would help those who wish to stay depressed achieve that goal. The five points, if followed exactly like the author recommends, should indeed help keep you down in the dumps. There have certainly been times in my life where it appeared to all around me that my goal was to remain unhappy.

This book will not help you with that quest! I found myself laughing at the author's quirky sense of humor. And, as soon as you begin to laugh, you are on a slippery slope right out of depression.

Which of course, appears to be Stacy Harp's true goal. Laughter is indeed still one of the best medicines.

I like a quick read and this only took about ten minutes. It is definitely a must read for impatient people in our "fast food culture" who need to get depressed, and get depressed quick. I highly recommend this to anybody who does not want to be happy.

I also recommend it for any reader who just wants somebody to say what they are thinking about the person in his/her life that doesn't want to be happy.

There are practical tips here that you will NOT get from anyone else. This is the stuff good advice is made from; common sense, wisdom, experience, and wit. I'd like to tell you more, but I don't want to give it all away or have my review be longer than the book.

Again, if you want to be a happy person who smiles all the time and is thankful for anything and everything, do not read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Haha! May 22, 2012

Hilarious! The Master of Depression. I believe this may be a positive book for the category known as SNARK.

Either way, this is a great little tool to have on hand when for any moment you begin to feel down. This will diffuse your grumpiness within seconds and have you laughing out loud. I love humor and foolishness and this definitely fits the bill.

Great job, Stacy! I'm looking forward to more.
