This review is from: Five Tales for the Theatre (Paperback)
This book contains 5 of Carlo Gozzi's 10 "Tales for the Theatre" that utilize the commedia dell'arte theatre art form. These plays were originally written in Italian, but translated into English by the author/compiler/editors of this book, Ted Emery and Albert Bermel.

Furthermore, one of the author/compiler/editors of this book, Ted Emery, provides a GREAT introduction about Carlo Gozzi, the Italian dramatist famous for challenging European society's rigid "reason" during the "Age of Enlightenment/Reason." It also looks like there's a good afterword by the other author/compiler/editor, Albert Bermel, but I haven't read it yet. Overall, if you're at all interested in Carlo Gozzi or his work (which are mainly comedies), this is a great resource!

The book itself, was also in great condition when I received it!
