The right product. Fix-N-Grow combines bacteria to fix nitrogen for beans, cowpeas, peas and soybeans. The old inoculant was only for beans and peas. Each 2.3-oz. Fix-N-Grow packet contains about 2 billion spores neatly suspended in peat granules to be sprinkled down a 40-ft furrow. Unlike the old inoculant with dusty, fine-ground peat and instructions to mix moistened seed with the peat and plant the muddy seed, with Fix-N-Grow, there is no mess!

What is Fix-N-Grow Fix-N-Grow is not a fertilizer or chemical but a legume inoculant, a mixture of various beneficial bacteria suspended in easy-to-use granules. These bacteria take free atmospheric nitrogen (N) and attach or fix it to the root system of beans and peas in small white nodules, where it can be converted and utilized by the plant. Hence the name, Fix-N-Grow. The nitrogen is used by the plant and by plants grown later in the soil where nitrogen-rich root nodules re main. Fix-N-Grow lets you take advantage of naturally occurring nitrogen in the atmosphere, most of which is formed by lightening, and put it where it will do the most good.
