Format: Paperback
This book is quite old now... and already it reads as somewhat obsolete. But as an historical work its well written and a fascinating window into the mainstream thinking of the day. Its largely observation in places but has enough depth and detail in critical places to be compelling. I am skeptical of AGW and think alarmist propoganda is these days transparent and flimsy to the point of being ridiculous. This book however is not alarmist. Sure it paints scenarios that sound alarming but it does not use the book to muddy the waters of fact and assumption. It was one of the first books I read on Climate and I revisited it recently and enjoyed it again. Regardless of your opinions on the AGW debate, this is a good book. Recommended to all....
