A GOOD ONE,
By Cheryl Baranes (Paris, France) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mr Fixits Magnet Machine Richard Scarry Ready to Read Books (Paperback)
My 2 year old loves Richard Scarry and she loves books! Although this book is a little more complicated than most books for her age she already has the book memorized. She follows the story quite well and loves Mr Fix it. I find the book to be very inexpensive especially for all of the fun we have had reading it and introducing her to new words.

It Does Not Get Better Than Busy Town!,

This review is from: Mr Fixits Magnet Machine Richard Scarry Ready to Read Books (Paperback)
This book is another fine addition to the Busy Town Series. My 5 year old and I have been hooked on these books since he was about 2 and his brothers before him, the same. Only the 5 year old adores them so much, we have ordered most of them. Busy Town books are always upbeat, positive and sweet. Mr Fixit is often the hero of the stories, making everything all better, and this book showcases his talents in particular. This one teaches you about magnets and the 5 year old, who is learning to read, is able to pick out words and read some of it himself (with my help). Because we travel much of the time, it is so nice these books are paperback and light to pack. We take a bunch with us wherever we go. Every visit with Mr Fixit, Huckle, Lowly and the other residents of Busy Town is a joy, and I'm so glad we got this one to add to the collection! |
