The Best Fix to Smoke On,

Krayzie is just the best damn rapper around. I don't care what anybody says or who else they praise. I'm sure a lot of Bizzy Bone fans will disagree, but much of the time what is Bizzy saying? And why is he still calling himself Bone after he left BTNH to do his so called spiritual soul searching where he'd go from praising God, to Ala, to Jesus? Anyway, Krayzie Bone knows how to make good hip-hop/rap/blues/club music that tells a great story which can be understood by practically anybody. The previous release of The Fixtape on the internet held a couple songs which I would've liked to have seen make it to this retail release such as "They Don't Want None ft Eazy-E" and "You B!tch", but Krayzie was kind enough to replace them with equally good substitute tracks like "We Asn't Really Living", "We Still Here", and "Aint Nuthin Changed". This is surely a great CD to have in your collection for all Krayzie, Bone Thug, and rap fans.

THIS MIXTAPE IS FIRE!!!! A CLASSIC FOR ANY HIP HOP FAN!!!,
This review is from: The Fixtape, Vol. 1: Smoke on This (Audio CD)
This mixtape has got to be the best mixtape album from any bone member. Krayzie picked perfect beats that flow with his delivery and he turned them all into his own. I remember when Bone came out with E. 1999 Eternal and The Art of War, there was discussions of who was better: Bizzy or Krayzie. I thought I could never make that decision because they both brought the heat and their lyrics where on point. This mixtape not only showed me that Krayzie Bone is the best out of the group, but he is also in my top 10 best rappers list. His breath control, lyrics, and content are consistent with every album, mixtape or song that he puts out. You can tell by the way he raps that he wants to put out quality music, even on a mixtape. I still got love for all of them and I still buy any album any Bone member puts out, but if I had to chose, Krayzie Jackson would be at the top of the list as the best hands down. This mixtape is a classic and should be in everyone's music collection.

Instant Classic,
This review is from: The Fixtape, Vol. 1: Smoke on This (Audio CD)
This album is simply phenomenal. Though an "underground" release, this is th best Krayzie Bone solo since Thug Mentality 1999. Exhibiting here what could be described as a matured flow and subject matter, the past fantasy-like "runnin' with the AK-47, murda mo" rhymes have been replaced with more of the social subject matter that makes people relate to the music. It's also important to state that this album's 17 tracks can be played from beginning to end without skipping a single track, which is extremely rare in this day and age. Krayzie has borrowed beats from popular songs released by other artists several times in the album, and flipped them into something of what a music fan's dreams are made of. This album shows that Krayzie Bone is similar to Prince in his level of creativity. As stated before every track is quality, but I will list several extreme standouts: The tracks "Stay Down", "Can't Get Out The Game", and "We Ain't Really Living" are social commentaries that are reminiscent of a rapping Marvin Gaye. On "Maybe It's Me" Krayzie flips Beyonce's instrumental to "Irreplaceable" in an unexpected direction. The tracks "Sweet Jane" and "Mary, Mary" are love songs that would make you think of a member of Jodeci or Jagged Edge fessing their love for a woman. If I could give this album 6 stars, I would. I cannot recommend this album enough for every Bone fan, and more over, simply any fan of great music.

I have been a fan of Bone Thugs for quite a while now..with their laid back style and fast paced flows, they are truly a one of a kind in the rap game. Been said that..Krayzie Bone's "Smoke on this" is a outstanding mixtape, filled with 17 banging tracks. Doesnt matter if you throwing up the west, the east, the south or whatever...this cd is a must have for a true fan of good music.

This is a great CD overall. I will say upfront though that I'm a huge Krazie Bone fan. The artwork and feel of the album is very generic, it reminds me of Master P's label back in the day. I am also not impressed that there is no new music on the album. If you don't know yet, this is an album where Krazie takes popular beats and revamps them to his own song. One of the best songs, that was supposed to appear, (ft. Eazy-E) never made it to the album. All of this together is why I only rate this album 4 stars. I liked his previous album much better but I'm still looking forward to Krazie's next album.

Krayzie Bone returns with a new album/mixtape after taking 3 years off of his solo career, a few Bone albums did come out over that period however. Of this CD and his 3 other solo's I have, this is defineitly the best, and probably will be one of the top 10 hip-hop albums of the year in my opinion. Of the 17 songs on here, Krayzie is on 16 of them, 5 are o.k., 1 is a classic, 3 are near classics, and the other 8 are good or very good songs. Guests aren't too heavy and appear on 7 of the 17 songs but no fellow Bone Thugs memebrs are on here. For fans of Bone or Krayzie, this is a must have album.
#1 - 7 (smoking song) #2 - 8.5 (over a Young Jeezy beat) #3 - 9 (over a 50 Cent beat) #4 - 7 (Cheek da Freek solo) #5 - 9 (f/ Noose, Asho, & Akon -- nice beat) #6 - 10 (Classic -- great beat) #7 - 9.5 (over a Fabolous beat) #8 - 9.5 (f/ Keef G -- tight beat) #9 - 7.5 (f/ Cheek da Freek) #10 - 8 (another smoking song) #11 - 7 (f/ Keef G) #12 - 7.5 (over a Beyonce beat) #13 - 8.5 (relaxing beat with Chopped & Screwed lyrics -- actually a good Chooped & Screwed song) #14 - 8 (one more smoking song) #15 - 9.5 (f/ Scarface --- tight beat) #16 - 9( f/ The Game -- over a Mobb Deep beat) #17 - 8 Anthony Henderson -- b. 6/3/74 -- Cleveland, OH Check all my reviews

Really, REALLY good....,
This review is from: The Fixtape, Vol. 1: Smoke on This (Audio CD)
I'm going to keep it simple. This fixtape is a banger. It's like a hybrid between a mixtape and an album, and Krayzie executed it perfectly. Don't sleep on this. Enjoy! BTNH 4 Life!

Excellent Album By Krayzie,
This review is from: The Fixtape, Vol. 1: Smoke on This (Audio CD)
This was a great release by Krayzie Bone up there with "Thug on da Line" and "Thug Mentality." I actually prefer this to "Still Creepin On Ah Come UP" by layzie and bizzy because it is an overall consistent album and has many highlights. He shows off all his skills here like his great producing and his unbelievable flow, i think the best rapper in the BTNH. the hightlights include:
"Cant Get Out The Game" (Make me Better beat, by Fabolous and krayzie spits heat about his life in the rap game.) "Sweet Jane" (Who doesnt love blazing songs?) "Perfect Execution" (Ayo Technology beat by 50 Cent, Krayzie Jackson makes it better). "Stay Down Ft Akon and Noose (Great beat with an infectious chorus) "What You Wanna Do Ft. The Game" (Yes a collab with game and krayzie, a deadly combination gives an even better song, check this out) All in all krayzie has released an excellent album that should not be overlooked
