I ride 40-50 miles every day as a messenger.

My new road bike came with the standard Arione, but I switched them, as the Versus is much more comfortable for me on longer rides.

I also like the length of this saddle, it allows me to utilize different positions depending on the terrain: Climbs, sprints, etc.

I am an avid cyclist riding approx. 100 miles a week. I had the Fizik arione for about 4 months before getting the VS. the original Arione worked very well for me except for some pressure issues down the middle of the saddle. I was getting some numbness on longer rides, and was wishing for some relief down the middle of the saddle. I decided to try the Vs. arione and it relieved the pressure issues. I have ridden about 200 miles on the Vs. so far and I am super happy with it. The channel down the middle of the saddle did the trick and I am able to ride all day with no issues. I also like the length of this saddle, it allows me to utilize different positions depending on the terrain: Climbs, sprints, etc. If you currently have the arione and are having some pressure issues the arione vs. is the way to go!

I waited a while to rate this saddle because in the past I had reviewed saddles after only a ride or two. Saddles that I thought were great didn't fare so well over the subsequent number of weeks. I have been through 5 different saddles over the last 18 months, two from Selle, two from specialized and now the Fizik Arione. My biggest problem before was the development of pretty painful saddle sores. This saddle was recommended to me by the guy who helped me design my new custom Alchemy road bike. While the bike was being built he let me try this one out on my old bike. The main thing about this saddle is that it is considerably more narrow than the other four I had tried. This was counter to what others had told me about needing a wider saddle since I have wider hips. On the surface this saddle looks like it would be uncomfortable, but after riding it for four months I can tell you it is not. I can ride this saddle for hours and on multiple back to back days without any discomfort. Even better, my saddle sores have healed and I have had zero recurrences since switching to the Arione. I highly recommend it. And BTW you can disregard my previous glowing reviews of the Selle saddle. I don't think it's a bad saddle, I think I got some bad advice on choosing a wider width.

After reading about the Versus line from Fizik, I bought the Arione to put on my road/commuter bike. This is a long saddle, which is great as it allows for multiple positions. If you like to 'plug in' to you saddle and not move around, this may not be for you (you might want the Aliante, or something similar). But if you like to shift your position (climbing, descending, sprinting, etc) a lot while riding then this saddle is great. The center channel has eliminated numbness that I would experience on longer rides. In fact, in general this is the most comfortable saddle I have ridden. My new road bike came with the standard Arione, but I switched them, as the Versus is much more comfortable for me on longer rides.
