5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting and fresh, July 26, 2004
This review is from: Fjord Fusioneer (Dig) (Audio CD)
This album has a great variety of Jazzy House grooves. It will give you and your friends a positive attitude on life, and will build spirits in the moods of life. This album starts out with Soulful House grooves that I've been using in my mix shows. The groove continues with infectious up tempos and downbeats that blend well keeping the rhythms Hot and Sexy. People will find this CD will become their favorite, and will keep it in their CD player. Six numbers that have a sweet House groove, have a natural attraction for those that enjoy good music. Don't be surprised if you hear these tracks while you are hanging out at your local Martini Bar. Straight off the CD as is, are House Trax that needs no remixing, but knowing just how groovy the people at KRIZTAL records are, I sure you will see some swank extended remixes in the near future. Until then the album works on it's own. The fusion of the styles are welcome and provide a new front for classy people that love to move while their souls while being fed.

5.0 out of 5 stars I ADORE this cd!, December 15, 2004

I honestly do. It instantly became a favorite and I've only been listening to it for a few days now. It's a gem that was very easy to look over since I had never heard of Dalminjo before. This cd is pure chill for the most part. Warning: It will take you to another universe, a calming one, which is needed after a long day at work or a stressful encounter. I wouldn't put this cd on while driving because you could fall asleep while listening. It's just that soothing to the senses.

"Fjord Fusioneer" also is the kind of disc that you don't have to skip around to keep the sound flowing. Just put it in the player and let it go. If you're a true downtempo/deep house fan as I am, this is the cd for you. Take a good listen to "Goodbye" "Love Affair" with Hilde Drange, "Cruz Persille," "All I Want," "Departure Lounge," and "And She Said (the non-remix version)." "Goodbye," "Departure Lounge" and "And She Said" are BLISS.

I am always pleased when a CD turns out to be so much better than I thought, especially when I didn't quite know what to expect. This cd is worth the dollas. Get it and keep it in your player and just let the music take you and relax. I can't wait to see what Dalminjo comes up with next.

4.0 out of 5 stars smooth, May 9, 2006

Very smooth. If you are a fan of "Lemongrass" than this one is for you. Dalminjo is Lemongrass on a separate record label.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dalminjo - Fjord Fusioneer, February 24, 2011
This review is from: Fjord Fusioneer (Dig) (Audio CD)
At first, I wasn't too keen on FJORD FUSIONEER, Dalminjo's debut album. I thought it was a little too smooth house. But on the second and third listens, it's definitely grown on me. It's peppy enough to demand attention, like on the embarrassingly catchy "Love Affair." Sure, much of the house eases into the mind without making a dent, but other tracks basically demand a loud soundsystem to show off their complexity. The remixes by Terry Lee Brown, Jr. and Quant add a slightly different flair that's certainly welcome. But this is another album that shows that Scandanavia's putting out some of the best electronic music in recent memory.

5.0 out of 5 stars First heard off of "Chill With Mindi Abair", June 17, 2010

This review is from: Fjord Fusioneer (Dig) (Audio CD)
This album is hot, if you love chill/electronica music, then you will love Dalminjo's "Fjord Fusioneer." I first heard Dalminjo's work off of the Chill With Mindi Abair Radio show that is syndicated mostly on Smooth Jazz stations across the U.S. and Canada. On the show is where I heard the tracks "Moon & Sun" and "Departure Lounge" which I think are the best two tracks, but now that I have the album I see that this is one where just about all the tracks are good. Highly Recommended to Chill Music Fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best in Lounge kick back music., September 6, 2009

If you are a collector of lounge music, you will definitely have to add this to your collection. From sunset inspiration type to pulsating dance vibes.
I try to look for music with different mood swings and themes without losing it's soul and this exceeded all my expectations.
Every tracks stands on it's own for it's beauty and originality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chillage, February 11, 2009
This review is from: Fjord Fusioneer (Dig) (Audio CD)
This cd is a real treat on the ears. The tracks are mostly upbeat, very danceable but in my opinion are best suited for the lounge/wine scene. There are a couple of catchy down tempo tracks as well. I've owned the cd for a long while and I still find myself listening to it. Worth picking up if you are into things like Cafe Del Mar or Hed Kandi labels.
