The Flag We Love is about the American flag and people willing to die for their country. My favorite picture is when it shows the Viet Nam wall.It is so patriotic. The illustration is so detailed and realistic. I just enjoyed the book very much.

This book is a great way to teach children about the Amnerican flag through rhyme and pictures. You can focus primarily on the rhymes for younger children and then focus on the factual information given as a sidebar on each page for older children. Wonderful resource!

I think The Flag We Love by Pam Munoz Ryan is a special book in its own honorable,patriotic,and unique way.It tells about
the flags at the Viet Nam Wall and who died. That's why I think it's Special.

I read The Flag We Love, and I liked it because it told many different facts about the flag. I like the art work too. I also like the history it gives. I gave it 5 stars because it was great!!!

This beautiful book opens with Muñoz's first inspiring verse:

Our flag is our country's symbol
Of ideals that are meant to last
It's a promise for our future
A reminder of our past....

The accompanying illustration by Ralph Masiello shows a freshly whitewashed barn with an American flag gracing one side. A farmer's furrowed field, a vast blue sky and bucolic setting complete the scene. Each page that follows presents another verse, accompanying illustration, and a text box that imparts a piece of our flag's history to the reader. The book is stunning to look at, informative and heartwarming to read. It is a good introduction to youngsters about how our flag came to be, how it's changed over the years, and its meaning to us as citizens.

I have checked this book out of the local library several times and now plan to purchase a copy for a school nearby. This book helps to reinforce good old American patriotism. The poem along with the beautiful illustrations brings goose bumps every time I read it. We need more books like this to share with our children.

I enjoyed the book The Flag We Love. I found out by her, and Ralph Maseillo the true meaning of the book. It's about the history of the Flag. It's a very sad book, but also very interesting, fun facts, and just great to feel how many lives were lost so we could have our freedom! My favorite part in the Flag We Love is when I saw the wall of all the soldiers that died in the Viet Nam War. I just don't think elementary students would like this book, but also a higher grade! It's an educational book, but it is also a very wonderful book! I think if you have not read The Flag We Love then you should try it!!

The book,The Flag We Love, is well written. I think a large number of people should read this wonderful book. The pictures were just as outstanding as the writing. My favorite part was when Neil Armstrong was on the moon. If you are interested in flags, I think you should read this book. I really liked how the author put the story in poem form. The Flag We Love is an excellent book.

The Flag We Love is a FABULOUS book for all ages. It tells the history on the American flag. I think that the illustrations are very creative and dramatic. I like the written history part and the poem because they are very educational.I think that everyone should read this book so they will see how good it is.I also think that whoever reads it will want to read it over.

The Flag We Love has wonderful and realistic pictures. I like the fact that it is written in poetry and that there are little captions of the history about the pictures. This book is historical yet interesting to young children. The age range for children that might read this book is 7 and up. I would give this book 5 stars.
