Underated SLF release.,
By
This review is from: Flags & Emblems (Audio CD)
This elusive album is likely the most underated of the SLF catalog. I like all of the SLF stuff from the early inflammable material, nobody's hero, etc) through the later stuff (get a life, tinderbox, etc). This album represents a sort of in between era or mid-point for SLF. I partially hold a special place for it because it was the first SLF I owned on tape, but there are a good number of solid tracks on this album that are among the best put out by SLF in any era.
This all being said, the sound of this album is a bit different from anything else that SLF has done. It is not a huge departure, but a bit hair-band sounding on some tracks. Do yourself a favor and pick it up. Die and Burn and Each Dollar A Bullet are worth the 'price of admission' alone.
