it's surprising i had only really heard this band about 3 weeks ago because the singer and drummer are the brothers who were in the band before today....a band that i liked alot and disappeared. they came back as pierce the veil and my first time hearing them was when they opened for a day to remember a few weeks ago and i put the 2 together because of the voice.
trust me....the guys voice is enough to listen to the cd before. if you listened to before today, then you know how he sounds. if you've never heard before today, the best way i can describe the vocals is (and this is going to sound funny, but his voice is great) chiodos meets the chipmunks.
the music is kind of in the style of the fall of troy, but not all spastic and crazy. it's good.
pierce the veil is a band that you can't put a label on and say "oh it sounds just like" and throw in a band, because they draw influences and have parts that sound like one band, but parts that sound like another.
the best songs on the cd are "chemical kids and mechanical brides", "currents convulsive", "the balcony scene", and "wonderless". definitely a great first release from this band.

This is definitely an album to buy. The vocals are amazing, and the lyrics too. My favorite song has to be "The Balcony Scene" or "Wonderless." The show is also a must to add to your to do list. Be sure to check them out with Chiodos.

This CD was in perfect condition when it arrived at my house. I love the CD. It is fantastic. There were so scratches on the CD and the case was not broken or cracked in any way.

I had heard about Pierce the Veil recently and picked up Selfish Machines. It's one of my favorite albums now. I would highly recommend picking it up if you don't have it yet. Almost every song on that album is fantastic.

However, this album, A Flair for the Dramatic, just does not compare. There are no outstanding songs on this album. Most are just OK, some I don't even like at all. "Yeah Boy and Doll Face" is probably the best song on the album, but even that song is nowhere near as good as the worst song on Selfish Machines.

This band is kinda new to me. I like them a lot. Friends and Family have been trying to get me to listen to them for a while but was unsure. I can tell you now....read the title for my review!!! They have amazing vocals and awesome lyrics. My daughter likes this band too and jumped when she seen I bought the cd. Her favorite songs as well as mine are Balcony Scene and Chemical Kid and Mechanical Brides!! Seen them at Warped Tour last year and didn't really know of the band but can tell you now if i could go back with all the knowledge that I know and have now......you bet your you know what I would and scream till my through got sore!! HAHA! If you get this album you will not regret it!!

Just found this band two weeks ago from a friend very good love the instuments and differents beats and tone great cd definetly for a fan of chiodos!

I went to high school with one of the guys from the band, and I had previously bought "Before Today", which I thought was pretty decent. I think it means more to me because I knew of some of the places that they talked about, etc. The only drawback to that CD was that it was kind of "rough" due to non-professional recording.

Due to their previous success with Before Today, I thought I would give them a chance, and I wasn't disappointed. This CD was exceptionally well-done and I would highly suggest it if you like rock and/or punk. (I don't get into any of the technical terms that the suggested tags have listed below, so I'll just add them all...)
