I have used this feeder for two years to feed catfish I raise in a pond. It works great but especially for shooting the fish food STRAIGHT into the pond, which would be a problem with most circular throwing feeders. The only problems I have had are: The 'feed distributing "flapper" breaking about once a year (free replacements upon request 1-877-956-5746 and squirrels chewing into the feeder mechanism. Replacing the flapper isn't hard (especially for the price of this unit) and I plan to defeat the squirrels by building a floating island (i.e. 'dock') to mount my fish feeder on.

I own several of these feeders and overall have been happy with them. What first caught my attention about these feeders was they could be mounted on a tree. This eliminated the problem I had of hogs and livestock knocking down my tri-pods that I had previously been using to mount my corn feeders. My only issue as mentioned in some of the other reviews is the paddles used to throw the corn break to easy. I eliminated the damage a 2000 pound bull or 200 pound hog could do, but a squirrel or raccoon is just as fatal on these feeders. I hope they come up with a better material for the paddles as these really are a great option for certain hunting situations.

works very well. I will be using more of these!! be sure and use "cleaned" corn in this so that it doesnt get stopped up.

Installation was easy although if you use a barrel you must place hole at side of barrel not in middle. Easy to install but hard to fit a varmit cage on for protection since it mounts next to barrel lip. Worked well for several months until the squirrels and coons found it. They chewed off the rubber paddles that throw the food so it now no longer works. Trying to fix it now and fit a better protective cage to it to avoid more damage.

I used this feeder for 7 years feeding deer and turkey before it finally quit. It survived a CAT 3 hurricane and never missed a feeding. will be ordering a replacement real soon
