5.0 out of 5 stars rodrigo died in 1996, remedios now is living in san diego, December 25, 2001

I love this record and found out that rodrigo and remedios made many more recordings that were never released. After a lot of research, I found out that Rodrigo died in 1996 at the age of 47, and a great career in music was cut short. He was survived by his wife Remedios who now lives in San Diego, California. She has not recorded since. I would really like some musicologist to find her and try to get her to sing again. She is incredible and a real treasure. What a shame that an era is on the verge of dying out. I would be glad to help anyone interested, if I can....

This is one of my favorite records, along with other recordings of this incredible couple, Rodrigo and Remedios. However, I know that the desciption "Ana Rodrigo" is wrong, the singer is Remedios Flores. Please correct this in your listing.

I have listened to Flamenco music for years and this is now one of my favorite CDs. The music is powerful and authentic. Makes me wish I were back in Spain. I love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great rhythmic song and flamenco guitar CD, June 16, 2010

The husband and wife team of Rodrigo and Remedios Flores are wonderful to listen to on this little-known but excellent disc. The guitar accompaniment is superb throughout and each track crackles with the festive aire that is necessary for a good performance. Remedios, who is from Ronda, has a husky, earthy voice that expresses the fire and passion of her gipsy roots. Not one selection here could be classified as filler and this CD is truly a hidden gem. The linear notes are also informative about the artists and the art of flamenco.
