I highly recommend Flamenco Flavors... an exceptional cd., January 21, 1999

Flamenco Flavors is like a palette of colors where you have a variety of choices. The music styles consist of smooth jazz, rumba flamenca and other Latin rhythms. In Track 3, Hypnotic Safari, the combination of flamenco-like rhythms and jazz gives you the impression that you are on a long, relaxing journey and you are not in a hurry to reach your destination. It's a very soothing piece. Track 6, Un Poco De Elfida, reaches your soul with its smoothness. I highly recommend Flamenco Flavors to the jazz and world beat enthusiasts. You won't get tired of listening to it.

great guitar artistry...Jazzamenco at it's finest, January 18, 1999

12 guitars are multitracked to produce a palette of sounds...relaxing, showcases both Romero's flamenco techniques and Johnson's fingerstyle and jazz influences. Johnson, also a drummer as well as accomplished guitarist, toured with Les Paul, and has performed with Thom Bresh and Nokie Edwards (The Ventures). Romero, is a flamenco master with several other recordings to his credit. Hear Johnson and Romero on other CD's Flamenco Festival (Narada/Hallmark Music) and "Hypnotic Safari", (Wannadu)coming release. See Just Jazz Guitar Magazine Review on Flamenco Flavors. Excellent write up. worth listening to!

Excellent! A must have!, January 4, 1999

Flamenco Flavors combines jazz with rumba flamenca strums, which gives each piece a unique sound. I enjoyed the jazz aspect of the cd and highly recommend it. I read that Wayne Johnson uses 10 guitars and guitar synthesizer, which creates a palette of musical flavors and showcases the artists technical versatility.
