This album is definately tight, it's got a nice feel to it. The guitar work is great to listen to and the album has plenty of styles covered (merengue, son, bolero....ect) A must have for people who like latin music and who like to salsa/merengue!

A great jazz drenched Salsa & Merengue album...,

Other then Mark Towns, the only other latin jazz artist to do merengues that I know of is Susie Hansen, so it is a treat and a rarity to have several merengues covered in jazz style on one cd. Even though this is Latin jazz, it is very danceable especially the merengues and salsas. There are some laid back mellow tracks too, and a bolero, but for the most part there are some good tracks for salsa/merengue dancers. This is a great set weather you are a dancer or Latin jazz/Salsa fan. There is mucho jazz contest here, including Town's sizzling guitar work. Original tunes and creative arrangements make this a must have cd. Again the merengues are LIVELY & fun!!! A great cd.
