The songwriting coupled with the guitar work makes this a winner all around. Has a progressive feel but with a lot more power than expected with smart, thought provoking lyrics. Ripping melodic guitar work that is neither a shred fest or a longwinded instrumental. Lots of tempo changes in each song, the guitar playing is executed in such a quick hitting fashion that it's both memorable & becomes more enjoyable with each succesive listen. There is alot to digest here as it's a pretty dense album that seems to sound better each time around, with the listener discovering something not heard before. The highlight reel would include Dark Nemesis, Thermopylae, Flames of Rage & Inner Strength.
