Book Description

Fifteen-year-old Jane Carter's last foster family was abusive. Broken and scarred, her search for healing with her new family, and the prospect of facing her abuser again, lead her to a decision: cling on to her hate, fear, and bitterness or, like the mythical phoenix, let herself be engulfed in flames and be reborn from the ashes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intense but worth it. August 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Before reading this book I was warned that it was intense and it definitely was but it was a story that needed to be written. I feel this book gives those who have suffered with abuse a voice. It was easy to connect with Jane, the main character and feel each emotion she had. This book is for adults and older youth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read! June 22, 2011
This was a really good book. Its smaller, so its more of a light read but it is how the saying goes "good things come in small packages!" If you're looking for something that goes through a range of emotions, check this out!
