This is the ultimate collection of the ultimate group. No one in the music business has ever recorded better versions of new and "standard" material than the Flamingos. These two CDs will keep you in a mellow "wish my girl were here" mood for years to come. Trust me...the tracks on this compilation can not be outdone...Disc 2 will blow you away!

I still find it hard to believe that the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame ignores groups like The Flamingos and The Moonglows, both of whom had several hit singles. The Flamingos are one of the absolute best r&b groups to come along and their voices blend so well you know their music will put you in the mood for love any old time. Maybe someday this wonderful group will finally get their due, they definitely deserve it.

I must agree with another reviewer. This is the ultimate group. What songs! These guys had it all. And Johnny Carter leaves and eventually joins The Dells. My favorites of course are 'Everybody Has A Home But Me'. What pathos! Then there is 'Old Man River' done before The Temptations. Everybody has a they missed it song. Mine is 'Buffalo Soldier'. The long version by The Flamingos needs to be heard. To see them in one of the 50's 'teen movies' doing 'Jump Children' is a joy. Did somebody say they are not in the Rock and Roll hall of fame??? Then close the hall until this oversight is corrected.
