Editorial Reviews

2012 release, the third album from the British Post-Hardcore band. The album was produced by former-SikTh guitarist Dan Weller throughout May and June 2011 at Karma Sound Studios in Thailand and in London, UK. It was then mixed in Vancouver by Mike Fraser.

Pretty. Amazing. January 19, 2012
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have never listened to Enter Shikari before, but after listening to their new album, "A Flash Flood of Colour" once, I have fell in Love with the band's metal roots mixed in with Electronic Beats. I had learned about the new album through Alternative Press, who described, "Rocks like Rage Against the Machine's Battle of Los Angeles". Their openining song, "System" is a combination of short laments, heavy metal roots, and perfectly incorperated keyboards. They continue with similar songs, "Sssnakepit" and "Gandhi Mate, Gandhi". "Searchparty", Stalemate", and "Warm Smiles Don't Make You Welcome" stand out because they take a lighter tone, but still complient Rou Reynolds' voice and The Band's Instrumental Talent. The only thing I have to Complain is there is a quite a bit of Explicit Language and should be stickered like their other albums. I'm not saying that it is bad or Disturbed me, but it should have Parental Discretion for younger audiences. Overall, this album should be one to remember and I hope Enter Shikari will continue with more amazing music.

Absolutely solid album. Wish it were longer, but it's length leaves me wanting more. Listened on repeat for 17 days straight.

I was just browsing through my Zune software, (yes it's way better than itunes) and came across this album. I'm always looking for new and exciting bands cause what mainstream media exposes us to anymore is just a joke. Within the first listen, I was blown away buy the diversity and talent of this band. It's almost like someone knew what I was looking for and created a band in a genetics lab. They incorporate so many different styles of music without it sounding frayed and jumpy for no purpose. I immediately bought the album and then went on a search for more Enter Shikari and again was not dissappointed. One thing that gets me excited the most is that this is there third release, which is so rare these days and is what a great band is suppose to do GET BETTER. There's been an old addage in the music industry that "you have your whole life to write your first album", so thats why a lot of bands come out blazing, and when its time to answer back with another album, it's completely stale, like it's a different band. Not these guys, seems like the best is yet to come.
