FLASH GORDON CONQUERS THE UNIVERSE (1940) was a 12-part sci-fi serial. Each episode ran somewhat under 20 minutes. Recurring cast members included Lee Powell, who was the screen's first Lone Ranger (also in a serial), and John Hamilton who played editor Perry White on TV's THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN in the 1950s. This DVD contains the first half of the story.
