4.0 out of 5 stars good programming background, March 19, 2001
By
dave (raleigh, nc usa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Flash 5 Interactivity and Scripting (Paperback)
this book is quite good in that it touches upon the origin of actionscript and gives insight into how it relates with other programming languages. its a must have for anyone really wanting to understand the ins and outs of actionscript and how to develop good coding standards.

the book basically gives an example of some code and then breaks it down in a few pages, so theres a lot of info into how each example code was written and how it can be used in the readers own scripts. this is not a cut and paste book, but a concepts book!

3.0 out of 5 stars Light on examples, heavy on price, May 2, 2001
This review is from: Flash 5 Interactivity and Scripting (Paperback)
Flash Interactivity and Scripting has good explanations of actionscript concepts...short, and sweet. However, as compared to books at its price point, there are few examples and no CD.
