The game is simple to learn and since you are in a head to head completion with other players you have to think and move quickly. Inside of the box you will find:
* 36 dice for 6 complete sets for up to 6 people to play
* 6 scoring chips
* A score pad with each page printed on both sides
* A pencil
* A good set of instructions on how to play
* A nice carrying bag that makes it great for travel
The challenge is to compete in eight challenges and to see who gets done the fastest in each head to head challenge competition. Each player's finishing position in the challenge lets them get a scoring tile for that challenge. At the end of all of the challenges you add up your scores and see who won. The game is extremely fast paced and involves luck and skill in playing. I really liked that each die had a wild side (The Flash) on it that speeds up the game. The travel bag makes it ideal to take with you when you go camping or on vacation. On those rainy days you can kill some time having fun with this game.
This game is challenging, fun, fast paced and great family interaction. I rated it at 5 stars.
I was supplied with a sample of this product for test and evaluation and I promised to provide a fair and honest review.
I was given a sample of this game to review.
The game is quite easy to play – depending of the number of players (a maximum of six), you have to use the same number of scoring chips. For example, if you are four players, you will use chips 1, 2, 3, and 4. Each player takes six dice from all the same color (either blue, red, orange, green, yellow, and purple).
Once you are ready to play (and all the players’ name is on the scoring sheet), the first player chooses a challenge from the scoring sheet and everyone has to try to achieve the dice combination picked. On the count of three, all players roll their dice at the same time. Put aside the dice you want to keep and quickly roll again until you achieve the desired dice combination. If you complete the challenge, you have to shout “FLASH!” and take the highest scoring chip available. The other players continue until everyone has collected a chip. (Can you feel the tension during a game?) Whoever wins the challenge picks the next one to complete.
The game ends when all the challenges on the scoring sheet have been completed. The player with the highest total wins the game.
There are eight challenge in all:
Six-of-a-kind: all six dice show the same number.
3 pairs: three pairs of dice show the same number.
All even: all dice show even numbers.Read more ›
This set comes with a carry bag to keep everything together. Great for packing on a trip or just grabbing for a quick game at the kitchen table.
The object of the game is for each player to continually roll their dice to get a predetermined combination on their six dice. It may be all six the same or three sets of pairs. You keep the dice that you want and roll the rest until you hit that winning combination. When you finish you yell FLASH and collect a scoring chip based on where you finished in the group. First place gets the highest point chip, last place gets the lowest. At the end of all the rounds, the player with the most points wins. It is a little similar to Yamslamso it was easy for us to pick up the combinations since we've played Yamslam for a long time.
It requires little skill except for choosing your 'good' dice quickly and rolling the rest again. However, you need to make snap decisions and move quickly. Unfortunately, our youngest was often last until we backed off a little bit to give her a chance.
We play at our kitchen table but the dice have a tendency to bounce pretty high or off the edge so we put down fabric place mats (or my son uses the top of a game box).
It can get pretty competitive but all in all, everyone has a great time. The game comes with play variation suggestions as well.
I was provided the product for evaluation and an honest review.
