This is my second journey into the world of the O'Rourke and his team of investigators. I have to admit that I almost did not make the trip; I am not a fan of "Zombie" stories and stay away from the genre like the plague (pun intended). However, I was so impressed by their first book, Bioprints, that I did the "look inside", just to see how bad it was going to be. Imagine my surprise when I found that it was not a "Zombie" book, but merely used the flash mob of Zombies as a literary device, to further the plot line. The characters continue to build their relationships with each other and consequently draw the readers deeper into the story. The dialog is well thought out and the transitions are handled very professionally. These two authors continue to grow in their craft and I would not be surprised when they started receiving the recognition they richly deserve. I consider the time I spend with their books as pure entertainment, there was no wasted effort trying to decipher misspellings or poor grammar. I heartily recommend this to everyone, especially those folks who hesitate at any book with the word "Zombie", you will love it.
