I agree with the previous reviewer. When I hear these songs in 1984 again and I'm stuck in traffic on the Harbor Freeway or baking in the sun in Redondo Beach. Memory Wiplash.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get this series while it's still available..., August 15, 2005
This review is from: Flashback Favorites 1 (Audio CD)
Oglio records was one of the early labels to bring us hard to find new wave 12" singles on compilations, and few labels have managed to keep up with it. Get them before sellers start charging ridiculous prices for them. Track times on this volume:

1. doot doot (6:04)
2. Let me go (6:13)
3. This is the day (5:21)
4. Everywhere that I'm not (4:02)
5. Hey st. peter (4:21)
6. der komissar (5:41)
7. Say it again (6:35)
8. Love and pride (6:13)
9. Dancing in heaven (6:00)
10. World destruction (5:33)
11. Party at ground zero (4:50)
12. 88 lines (4:53)

5.0 out of 5 stars A Stellar 80s New Wave Release, May 5, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Flashback Favorites 1 (Audio CD)
Virtually all the tracks on this CD are memorable and all of them are extended versions. This is rare! On top of that, it is a Richard Blade compilation. Richard Blade is a real icon of the 80s new wave genre. Most Gen X-ers would love this CD.

Even if you would have to pay a premium to find any left over copies of this CD, it would be worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of series., April 8, 2008
This review is from: Flashback Favorites 1 (Audio CD)
If you only get one of the richard blade's flashback favorites, get this one. They all have good songs but this one has pretty much all good songs. I have the entire series in my iPod and I always find myself listening to this one.

Doot Doot: is weird, but pretty good. I used to skip it, but now I listen to it every time

Let Me Go: is the best track among spectacular tracks, the extended version is a must, listen for yourself, badazz

This is the Day: hey, it's the song from the fandango commercial!!! or was it moviefone? whatever it's good, and still sorta popular or at least paying dividends for The The

Love and Pride: is the best song on this CD. Wait, I already said that...I don't know anymore, it's soo hard to choose. Anyways this song is rare, I think it's extended, or maybe that long drum intro was always there, anyways, being a bass player, I love the bass line to this song. It's just a shame that about 98% of the population my age (23) have never and will never hear this song.

I will not take up your time reviewing every song. I'm not that patient. But they are good. If you are reading this review then you probably already know, which is good. GET THIS CD WHILE YOU CAN, it's getting rare as it's Out Of Print. Worth a good pretty penny, but don't get had. You should be able to get this for under 12 bucks shipped.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST NEW WAVE COMPILATION OUT THERE!, November 11, 2007
By
Seattle Beard (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Flashback Favorites 1 (Audio CD)
I'm not always impressed by compliations. You buy it, and when you get home, the version is not what you expected. This series indentifies which tracks are longer versions. Very helpful to collectors. And it is put together with such excellent taste, those versions will be the best ones available. Not all long versions are good. The ones included in this compliation are. You can thrust Richard Blade.
