A fantasy flash fiction collection

Twenty-six flash fiction pieces give a glimpse to the characters, magical creatures, and lands in the fantasy world of the Kingdom of Foxwick. A young dragon befriends a dragon seer. A phoenix bursts into flames in mid-flight. A man must choose between his simple life and one of fame. A queen will find her heart turned into ice and many more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic collection of fantasy flash fiction April 17, 2012

There's no better way to lose yourself in a world than with peeks into all its corners. Cherie Reich does an excellent job drawing the reader into her fantasy world with Flashes of Foxwick. Each flash piece is a tasty morsel. Some with magnificent imagery, edge of your seat action, or heart-warming moments. There's fascinating characters and creatures that light up your imagination.

I highly recommend this to fantasy fans. It's a great introduction to Cherie's world of Foxwick.

5.0 out of 5 stars Attention-Catching Book of Short Stories July 10, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed "A to Z Flashes of Foxwick). I came across this book while perusing a free eBook website and thought it looked interesting. Unfortunately, I didn't get around to reading it for quite some time. When I finally did read it, I was introduced to a world that gave me enough of a story to get me hooked, but was short enough that I was left wanting more.

It is fairly typical book in the fantasy genre. There are dragons, strange creatures, and tales of heroism and villainy. My favorite tale was the story about how to gain the title of Death, but you'll have to read the book yourself to hear more about it.

As a series of short stories go, this one is clever and worth the read. It introduces you to a new world, interesting characters, and fun tales. I liked the fact that the short story title do go from A to Z. I thought that it was clever. I also think that the idea of creating so many short stories is brilliant for authors. It introduces your readers to the world without giving away everything.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Flash Fiction Collection July 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If you're into short fiction and fantasy, like I am, this book takes a fun, experimental approach. It's a compilation of flash fiction stories about the same world from a multitude of perspectives. Each story is intriguing and revealing about Foxwick and neighboring kingdoms. I recommend for fantasy readers of all ages. Also check out Women of Foxwick and Men of Foxwick, two other compilations set in the same world.
