I like this product. It feels nice and solid. I'm putting it in my car for emergencies. Hopefully the worst emergency I'll ever need it for is to have to use the bright LED flashlight.

I must admit I was initially attracted to this flashlight. It seems like everything you would need in an emergency situation. But you better make sure you give it a thorough testing before putting you life in the hands of this device.

THE SEAT BELT CUTTER: I wanted to test this out first. Of course I did not want to use a real seat belt so I opted for some heavy duty card stock paper. Not sure how this blade is secured on the device but when I tried to cut it... I was expecting the blade to cut through the paper like butter but instead I found the blade to dislodge into the flashlight. See the image I posted at the top of the page.

I thought okay maybe I can solder the blade back in later. I'm gonna test the flashlight.

THE FLASHLIGHT: It is powered by 3 AAA batteries that you insert into the provided plastic battery pack. It seemed a bit cheaply made but I thought it wouldn't matter too much because after all it is only a flashlight. The light failed to turn on and I figured that maybe perhaps I put the battery pack upside down. Unscrewed the cap and took the battery pack out ALMOST BURNED MY FINGERS. The battery pack became WAY HOT from the batteries. I had to get a pencil to safely pry the batteries out because it was so hot. I gave it the benefit of a doubt and inserted brand new fresh batteries just to see if it was some defective batteries and the same thing happened. Batteries immediately started to overheat from a short circuit. The heat of the batteries caused the battery prongs to deteriorate into a burnt crisp. Again check out the photos I posted above to see what I mean.

I bought two of these flashlights. One of them works fine with no broken blades and no short circuits but the other one is a different story.

I like that is has a flash light as well as the auto glass breaking device. I feel safer where it has a flash light that is so bright and makes it easier to see. I have purchased more for the rest of my family.

This is one of the brightest flashlights I have ever bought. It lights up a large area and it keeps shining longer than other LED flashlights that I've seen,. It is made of durable metal, and should last a long time. It was a Godsend to my wife and I, when our alternator quit working while driving home Saturday night. It left us stranded on the edge of the highway with no lights to flag and alert the coming traffic. It took almost an hour to get help and get us off the road.
Last week, on TV in my area, there was a lady that was forced off the road by a Road Rage Driver. She wound up in a deep ditch full of water, and drowned. Her seat belt was still fastened. If she had the Auto Rescue Seat-belt Cutter, she might have lived.
Most of our modern autos and trucks have electric windows that will stop working if your car goes into the water. The Car Glass breaker on the end of this light might give you a chance at survival.

I had the chance to actually use this gear to break out a car window and cut a seatbelt with it. Performed as promised, and now I know for a FACT it will work to help free trapped passengers in an emergency. Most will buy this device on faith that it will work; I CAN VOUCH FOR IT. Be sure to keep it secured in the car's center interior if possible, since a collision could easily send it flying or else wedge it into a crushed-up dashboard. By securing it in a center console beside driver's seat, or similar protected interior position (perhaps in an elastic pocket behind front passenger's seat?), it can safely and easily be accessed in an automobile emergency. Get one for peace of mind.

This is even cooler than it looks in the pictures! It's a little heavier that I expected, but if you need to break a window (or crack a nut) this will come in handy. It feels like it's indestructible -- it will definitely outlast my car, and probably a couple more. In all seriousness, I do travel a lot by car, and sometimes in severe weather (Minnesota snowstorms!), and I do feel more comfortable having this flashlight tool in the car. I'm getting a couple of more as gifts (it's unexpected, which is kind of cool, and a lot of people could really use it and would really appreciate it!).

I got mine a couple of days after I placed my order. First the appearance of this handy tool is awesome. It reminds me of a one handed light-saber! I bought this for myself to keep in the car, but I would imagine I'll be buying more for my family around Christmas. This will be an excellent stocking-stuffer gift. Heck, I might even get a second one to go into my back-pack. The blade that is designed to cut seat belts would also work well on bale twine around the homestead and rip cord while on excursions.

Was watching a news program concerning problems encountered trying to rescue an individual from a burning vehicle. Had seen these items before but never really thought that much about them. Decide probably a good idea to have one in the car "Just in case". Purchased one for each of our children also. The cutter is very good, I tried on glass, ohaaa, glass is broken.
