A Heroic Tale Of Triumph Over Adversity,
By The Amazin' Amazon Guy "Help Me I'm Too Cool!" (Turnersville, NJ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Flat Stanley (Hardcover)
This may be a children's book of fiction, but it is a moving story for all ages of the boy who became flat and used his malady for the greater good.
If you aren't familiar with the story, Stanley is a boy who becomes flat as a pancake after a board falls on him. At first he struggles with adjusting to his new shape as anyone would. But then the police use him to stake out a couple of sneak thieves at an art museum (I won't give away how of course) and Stanley triumphantly foils the crime! The thieves are captured and Stanley becomes a hero, one who turned his handicap into a positive attribute. It is an inspiring, heartwarming tale for anyone who might actually be flat or suffer from a similar condition. Flat Stanley. He matters.

I have been searching my memory for quite some time trying to remember some of my own favorite children's books. This one comes to mind immediately! I've seen the updated versions of the Flat Stanley series and nothing can compare to the original. I love finding these classic books and sharing them with my own children now. It's like being transported back to your own childhood. These old gems are helping me create new memories today!
