MarioKart for XBox360,

This game is pure fun. I enjoy the challenge of PGR and the lifelike feel to Forza. Flatout is just a good time.
To look at it, one would not necessarily think it is similar to MarioKart. However, I find the gameplay very similar - nothing too complex, your turns don't have to be great, there's a lot of attacking your opponents and you take great pride in destroying their vehicles, similar to nailing somebody with a red shell. The game certainly doesn't take the place of the other racers, but is a great, and cheap, complement. I found the graphics to be great as well, with tons of debris flying around the track and responding to your actions.

I love this game. I'm advancing my career and buying more cars, so that I can race in other racing events. Easy to control cars and lots of fun.

I was a little disappointed with the 360 version of Flatout. I had previously owned it for the original XBOX platform and loved to race against my friends, but the 360 version does not allow for multiple players on the same console for a race.
The game is still very fun for individual entertainment, but much harder than the original XBOX game.

so I thought i would try it out. was not disappointed. the controls were a little different than i was used to but with practice, had a blast in no time. the mini games are a hoot. I have to demand the controller back from my kids when we play together. Haha.

Why has this game recieved such little attention? This must be the best racing game I have ever played. Burnout simply does not compare to the amount of fun you get out of flatout.
There are a wide variety of game modes to choose from ranging from a normal race, stunt modes and good ole deathmatch derbys where you go around crashing into each other till the death. The diversity of cars to choose from helps keep things interesting as you can choose from derby, race, street class and the infamous bonus cars. Each class of cars has about twelve cars to choose from and they are all balanced, each having their strengths and weaknesses. Also all the cars are fully customizable with upgrades and paint jobs. The graphics are simply beautiful and had me awe-struck more than a few times. The environments are almost fully destructible and any debris left from any kind of crash is left scattered across the playing field throughout the entire play session. All the cars are also almost fully destructible. I've found myself driving around with a wheele or two missing more than once. The gameplay is not completely realistic as others have stated. The developers added their own flavor of flatout gameplay (No pun intended) but still manages to give the player the impression of a realistic driving experience. It is essentially this flatout gamplay that makes the game so much fun. If you are like me and feel that you are drowning in a sea of games that are lacking that fun factor, then get Flatout: Ultimate Carnage and get a fresh breath of fun.

THIS GAME IS A BLAST!!! Seriously, it's the funnest xbox 360 racing game I've played and I think I've played them all. It reminds me a lot of the original xbox game called: TEST DRIVE: Eve of Destruction. I'd bet money it was designed by the same people?
The graphics are amazing(I realize that word can be over used, but it truly applies here) and the fun factor is 2nd to none. Almost everything is destructable and it's always fun to ram cars that are trying to pass you. Flying off ramps and landing on another car is truly a pleasure. You'll see, it feels soooo good. This game is highly underrated and because of that you should be able to pick it up at a great price. I paid less the 20 bucks and it was well worth every penny. 2 THUMBS UP...WAAAAY UP!

Havn't even owned this game for 24 hours yet and I can honestly say that as far as pure "fun factor" is concerned, its second to none! The game play is flatout hilarious! its ashame because for whatever reason, Microsoft hasnt really marketed this game nearly as much as they could have. I guess they assumed that only a certain segment of the 360 gaming population would be interested in this game. Bottom line: The game is worth every penny and then some!

Only by chance did I learn about this game and got one yesterday. The game is serious fun! The game deserves 100/100 for graphics based alone on the explosions and flying debris effects. The title claims that the vehicles are made from over 40 deformable parts and there's over 8000 destructible objects on every track. Graphics 10/10 Sound 9/10 Gameplay 10/10 Enjoyment 10/10 Overall 9.5/10 The only complaint I have is that it is a little bit too pricey for the full price. Other than that, it is almost a perfect game.

I ordered this game because I loved Flatout on the Playstation and was happy to see it on the Xbox. Yes, this is the same as Flatout 2 pretty much but I don't care because without a Playstation 2 anymore Xbox is all I play. Highly recommended to anyone who loves Flatout!

I really like this game.
There are a few things I would improve, like instructions on the way you are supposed to play some of the non-racing games. I wish it had a two-player split screen capability but aside from the aforementioned items it is very good, to say the least. I do however also wish the lyrics were cleaner. But this is hardly noticeable as most of the music is simply instrumental and has very few words and the words you do hear are hard to make out. If you are into racing I highly recommend it. |
