4.0 out of 5 stars Not Your Average Techno DJ
This is one of the best techno albums to have come out the past two years, at least. The beats are slinky and sexy, and Ken Ishii layers his music with a sense of humor and fun that keeps his music on its toes. 2.0 out of 5 stars disappointment
I had Ken Ishii's previous album, Sleeping Madness, and it's one of my prized possessions. I was really excited when I first bought this CD but I was sorely disappointed when I finished listening to it. The only tracks that were worth listening to were "Iceblink" and "Drums in Friction," but I thought they were just barely above average.

Starting with the first cut, 'Iceblink', the beats are infectious without being too insistent. Standout cuts are 'Gap Accelerator' with funny disco-arcade game twist, and 'Drums In Friction' which incorporates traditional Japanese drums. Most of the tracks are gems. Ishii makes inventive, sly techno that is unlike many of the...techno DJ's, and it's all for the better.

There really wasn't as much originality as compared to the previous album (considering I have Kitaro CDs and other similar dance tracks), but then again Sleeping Madness tracks are a little hard to beat since there were so many collaborations and that upbeat progressive trancy feel. This CD had a much more downbeat to it.
