Being a cotton candy fanatic, I often get cravings for the sweet stuff when it's not fair season. I've tried a good many different brands & I have to say that I've only tasted two that come close to what it's like in the fair. One is a brand that was sold in my local video store years ago & has since been dropped by them. The other is Flava Puff.

Flava Puff's two toned cotton candy is pretty darn good & you get a good deal of it for the price. The price offered here on amazon (about $33 at the time of this review) is actually cheaper than my local supermarket that has it at $3-4 per tub.

I will say that despite the two different colors, I can only really detect one flavor which is the typical flavor of cotton candy that you would get in a fair. That's not a bad thing, though as I don't really like most of the flavored brands that are out there. (Too strong of a flavor!) The other thing that I must warn people about is that the tub is packed pretty darn full, so if you like your cotton candy extremely fluffy then you'll have to pretty much "fluff" it once you pull it out of the tub. It's not mashed in, so you won't have to "fluff" very much. The manufacturers wisely decided to go with quantity & give you your money's worth, which is more than some of the other brands can say. (I saw one package that was priced at $2 & had maybe 1/4th of the contents of one of these tubs.

I've purchased this same Cotton Candy at stores before, and the taste is very good. It's pretty fresh for being pre packaged, although not the exact same as fresh from the carnival. Overall its great for those sweet cravings.
