Works on the toughest tear stains,
By
This review is from: Beef Flavor Angels' Eyes Tear-Stain Eliminator for Dogs, 60 Gram Bottle (Misc.)
We have a Bichon Frise as a member of our family. I have tried numerous products without success (predominantly topical). When I saw the manufacturer's website, I saw hope for my brown tear stained dog's face.
I ordered the product and it came in a well insulated package. This product is a powdered form of dried liver. It smells ok and when my dog sniffed it, he ate it right away. It is too thick like chocolate milk to put it into water. After a week, I wondered if it would ever work. After two weeks there was a 50% reduction. By week 3, I was reassured that the product was working well. By week 4, the tear stains were practically resolved. Beard and tear stains resolved after about a month of use. I was told it works secondary to a low level antibiotic. This product works better than ANYTHING in the market. This product works and the money was worth every penny. I highly recommend this product.

Use Caution!,

While the product works, it contains Tylosin, which is actually a low grade antibiotic. It can strip the "good" bacteria from the intestine - my dogs developed diarhea after 2 weeks of use. Before use of this product, consult your veternarian!

I got my dog from the animal shelter this past October. He's a white toy poodle/maltese mix. Even after I took him to the groomer a couple of times to get him all cleaned & polished, his tear stains would not go away. Once I did some research, I found that everyone who's anyone recommended Angel Eyes to get rid of this unsightly staining. When looking around, I thought it was kinda pricy, so I bought the liquid tear stain remover, which was much cheaper, thinking I would save some money in the procsess. Well, I ended up learning that I basically just wasted my money, because IT DOES NOT WORK! Finally, I found a good price for the Angel Eyes & bit the bullet to buy it. BEST INVESTMENT EVER! After just a few weeks using the product, I could tell the tears stopped staining my dog's face. I took him to the groomer about a month ago to cut off the old stained fur & it hasn't returned since! There are a couple of things I'd like to pass on to the next person though:
1. Despite the advertising, my dog did not "love" the way this product tasted! In fact, sometimes it would take him 2-2.5 days to finish one bowl of his food with this product mixed in because he hated it so much. 2. This product is VERY strong on the dog's stomach! The recommended dosage for my dog (10 pounds) is 3/4 tsp daily. I tried that for about a week, but between the horrible diarrhea that it caused & the fact that my dog took forever to finish his food, I reduced the dosage to 1/2 tsp daily, which seemed to work much better for him. His bowel movements were still softer than usual & it still took him longer to eat a bowl of food than normal, but at least he didn't go on complete strike from eating all together. 3. This stuff works so well that I took my dog off of it after only a few weeks. I bought the 60g bottle & I still have a quarter to a third of the bottle left. Don't be fooled into buying heaps of this stuff thinking your dog will need to stay on this for months & months. Try it out first & if you need more, then buy more. I hope this helps anybody considering this product. If you ask me, it's really AWESOME STUFF!

I FOUND A BETTER SOLUTION THAT WORKED WONDERS FOR MY DOG,

Angel eyes main ingredient is Tylosin, which is anti-biotic, and it is also very expensive. If you don't want to pump your poor dog with anti-biotics and pay these outrageous prices, try my solution; it worked wonders for my dog.
My rescue Pomeranian dog came to me with teary eyes and very dark stains under his eyes, very noticeable on his white fur. I could see that his eyes are also itchy, because he was rubbing them against the carpet. He refused to touch the Angel eyes (Tylosin has extremely bitter taste). After the vet examined him, he said that the dog, like many toy breeds has eye allergy. These dogs are so small and close to the ground and affected by dust and prone to allergies. He recommended allergy eye drops made for humans called "Opcon A" manufactured by Bausch and Lomb. A small bottle of 0.5 OZ costs only $5 and lasts for at least 2 months, one drop a day. I tried it and right away, the dog's eyes stopped tearing. He also stopped rubbing them, so the lubrication must be relieving the itch. As far as the dark stains under his eyes; It took about 1.5 months for the stains on the fur to fade away, as the new white fur grew and replaced the old stained fur. The dog looks and feels great now and gets many compliments.

I have used this product on numerous dogs and it has worked on every one of them. I have referred it to everyone who has a dog with light color around the eyes and is tired of dealing with tear stains. I would recommend it to anyone.

I have used this product in the past and it works great it just stinks. I also found that once I coat the food with the powder my dog refuses to eat it so I added a little water and heated it in the microwave for 15 seconds. She can't eat it fast enough.

This product seems to be doing the job it's supposed to be doing. I have used it on my dog for just over a month and I'm already seeing results. There is much less staining around his eyes and mouth than prior to using Angels' Eyes. I purchased a smaller bottle initially to see if it really worked and saw results less than a month after using it, so I then purchased a larger bottle because I have seen results. It has also caused my dog to enjoy his dog food much more. I would highly recommend it.

We ordered Angel Eyes for our four year old Bichon whose face was terribly tear stained dark brownish red. We noticed a difference in less than a week after starting her on Angel Eyes. It's been over a month now and we use the Angel Eyes according to the directions and the improvement is remarkable. Last week we ordered a 240 gm bottle as it's a good value for a proven product.

I met someone in an airport during my travels and she was carrying a little white dog. We talked about her dog and how I have a Lhasa Apso and about the brown tears stains around the eyes. The woman told me about Angel Eyes Tear Stain and how great it was. I ordered from Amazon and have been using it ever since our talk. It has been a few years now and would not go without. There is not one sign of brown around her eyes. I just mix it in with her dry dog food and she loves it.

I had been using wipes from our local pet store to remove tear stains on our English Bulldog, Mugsy, with no results. After searching online and asking our vet's approval, I thought I would try Angels Eyes based on the great reviews from Amazon customers. I place a teaspoon in his food each evening. It took approximately a month, but he looks like a movie star! I wish we knew about this product when we had our bichon. Highly recommended!
