4.0 out of 5 stars delightful contemporary romance, November 7, 2003
This review is from: Flavor Of The Month: Kiss & Tell (Harlequin Blaze) (Mass Market Paperback)
In Los Angeles, renowned restaurateur Ben Kane is famous more for the various dishes he has dated for the past two years than for his highly regarded Benardo's Hideaway. On the other hand Reilly Chudowski is known locally for the pastries that she serves up in her Sugar N' Spice pastry shop. So Reilly is a bit disturbed that Ben insists he craves her because he was the star quarterback and she was "Chubby Chuddy". Still unable to resist his lure, Reilly ends her sexual dieting to spend what little time indulging her sweet appetite for Ben even though she knows she is a minor flavor of the month for him. She expects to pay quite a price when he leaves for a more sophisticated tartlet.

Ben knows what he hungers for on a steady diet and that is Reilly. He wants a lifetime of dining with her. However, Ben knows he must persuade his beloved that he craves a daily diet of only her forever.

Contemporary fans will appreciate this delightful romance due to the powerful lead couple. Ben is a nice charming hunk (what ingredients) while Reilly, though very pretty has never overcome her self image of the high school overweight unwanted coed. At times she can turn irritating with her lament, but that is also realistic as the child is the adult. Only Ben's love can persuade her that she is his seven course gourmet dinner for eternity.
