In-sodding-credible!!,
By
This review is from: Flawless (Silhouette Bombshell) (Mass Market Paperback)
I haven't been this thrilled with a book in ages. Flawless is exactly what a Bombshell should be--an adventurous, sexy, intelligent lite-thriller featuring an equally intelligent and confident female lead. Toss in nicely woven in tidbits about gemology, a witty antagonist-cum-love interest and a whirlwind(and well described) dash through parts of Western Europe, shake it and stir and Hauf has created an incredible piece of fiction. The author kept a brisk pace with the action and the dialogue and a bonus--Becca Whitmore was a woman unafraid of her sexuality, but was as human as you or I. This is the second book in the It Girls serial, but it is very much a stand-alone and if you've been wary of trying a Bomshell, Flawless is a really great start.

Flawed, not flawless.

This review is from: Flawless (Silhouette Bombshell) (Kindle Edition)
This was a step up from the previous book in this series of the "It Girls" thrillers - LETHALLY BLOND. Maybe that is because Hauf is a better writer than Bartholomew and did her best with an inane premise. For those who care, the IT girls mini series present a group of women who are ultra-rich socialites covertly working as spies! Even if you are willing to suspend disbelief to entertain this comic book nonsense, the stories themselves are so sketchily drawn that you have to sidestep large gaping chasms to just read along. Hauf's book is a little better plotted than the first was, although there are still huge gaps in the narrative, mostly procedural. Characters appear and disappear, and if they turn up later you think WHO was that again? Strictly for the feather-brained, who want a "nice no-think fast read.

Batgirl overrides Batman,
By
This review is from: Flawless (Silhouette Bombshell) (Mass Market Paperback)
The sodding story of Batgirl will keep you in the mood. But don't expect much of the story. You'll have a nice time reading it but it has its flaws. The last pages are long and boring compared to the beginning of the book but is a readable one.

gripping Gotham Roses thriller,
This review is from: Flawless (Silhouette Bombshell) (Mass Market Paperback)
During a robbery attempt to steal diamonds from jeweler MaryEllen Sommerfield in London, the thief shoots the owner in the head, but she remains alive, surprisingly coherent in spite of the time bomb inside her head, and cooperative with the police. New York based Gemologist Becca Whitmore of the Gotham Roses travels to London to analyze the diamond and two similar ones to ascertain why these were the target of the robber.
At the same Becca evaluates the gems, British MI-6 Agent Aston Dane also investigates the robbery attempt to learn why these gems are so valuable to someone. He and Becca meet at New Scotland Yard and both sides reluctantly team up. As they find clues to the value of these diamonds, an attraction between them rises. However, first the case must be resolved, which takes them to Paris and finally New York in search of who is behind the caper. The lead couple is a fine pairing of two courageous intelligent protagonists; they along with clever use of gemology turn this action-packed romantic suspense into a gripping thriller that has the audience traveling alongside the heroes. Fans will follow clues to learn what is so special about these diamonds and search for previous Gotham Roses' tales like THE GOLDEN GIRL by Erica Orloff. Harriet Klausner

In FLAWLESS, author Michele Hauf, takes the reader on a breathtaking adventure through multiple countries in a very short period of time. Rebecca, a gemologist, is a winner! I totally enjoyed reading this book!!!!
