5.0 out of 5 stars Good Read, Great Info July 30, 2011
By Osyn
This book is a good choice for people who can't figure out where to get their omega-3's from. I honestly had no idea how different the two sources are, and it was quite interesting to hear about how each supplement works. For those who really want to be experts on the subject, this is a great buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Review of Benefits of Flaxseed Oil June 14, 2014

Contains a nice round up of main benefits of consuming flaxseeds and flaxseed oil. All the more important as evidence is now strengthening for the case against fish oil, a somewhat dangerous or misguided supplement. (Interestingly, fish oil promotes prostate cancer whereas flaxseed helps protect against it.) For those wishing to go in depth about the issue, just google "fish oil brian peskin".

On the minuses, I would have liked the academic journal references included in this book (all omitted); and the title of the book is somewhat a misnomer. Little is talked about flaxseed oil in comparison to fish oil. Rather, the main focus is on the benefits of flaxseed.

Did not answer the question. Left with having to ask the Dr. Anyway. Overpriced! Not enough about interactions with other drugs.
