From a teachers perspective it's a wonderful story with great illustrations!
I found this book to be excellent. My 8 and 5 year old loved it. The message was great and the illustrations were wonderful. I would say to the previous commenter that the author in no way hid the intentions of the book maybe a little more research on your part would have elminated your displeasure with the books content. The back cover states the author is a Christians...

Good book with surprise ending
I bought this book for my 23 month old son in effort to reinforce polite manners, such as saying "please" and "thank you." We really enjoyed the book, but not knowing this author previously, I was surprised to find a Christian message on the final page. While Christian messages are generally good and well-meaning, we do not practice a religion. I would prefer to have...

I found this book to be excellent. My 8 and 5 year old loved it. The message was great and the illustrations were wonderful. I would say to the previous commenter that the author in no way hid the intentions of the book maybe a little more research on your part would have elminated your displeasure with the books content. The back cover states the author is a Christians and wanted to bring Christian values to childrens books. We all loved it!

I bought this book for my 23 month old son in effort to reinforce polite manners, such as saying "please" and "thank you." We really enjoyed the book, but not knowing this author previously, I was surprised to find a Christian message on the final page. While Christian messages are generally good and well-meaning, we do not practice a religion. I would prefer to have known the book was Christian based before buying the book so I could have made a more informed decision about whether or not to purchase it.
