Product Description

Flensted Mobiles are a traditional handicraft in Denmark. The first modern designer mobile was made there in 1954. Today Flensted Mobiles is based on the Danish island of Funen, the birthplace of Hans Christian Anderson, where it creates its very own design fairy tales from the old village school in Brenderup. This graphical mobile features geometrical bunnies, all made out of circles. Imagine a hill of bunnies playing with each other, all jumping, rolling or sitting. Due to the contrast between white and dark, the mobile is a perfect gift for newborns whose eyes are not yet developed to see all colors. Or you can even use the mobile for Easter. A refined mobile for the pastel child's room.

Customer Reviews

Mobile are crazy expensive and this is a stunning alternative! !!..

It's somewhat glossy(possibly plastic coated) cardstock, but regardless, it's paper.

I love the gray and white contrasting colors, which are what a baby first sees.

I agree with one of the reviewers that this is more for style. I received a gift card from giggle and this was one of the mobiles they offered. I wanted it over the changing table and I did not want the traditional animal one or one that attaches to a crib side. This is simple, modern. I think this is soothing vs. one with lights and music. At first, my infant did not seem to notice it but around 7-8 weeks, she is fascinated by this mobile. I intend to purchase another one by Flensted. It is true that this made of paper but a. Baby is not touching the mobile and b. It looks nice - it does not look cheap. For the price, it did the job and most importantly, baby and mom love the design!

I have bought many of these, for my office, bedroom & nursery and I love them! Yes they are made of heavy card stock paper. But they are more whimsical & less over stimulating to children than all the flashing lights & music you get with the huge plastic ones. I highly recommend them.

We purchased this for our nursery & it is beautiful and so relaxing to watch. It's positioned above our glider & it moves very gracefully. We are shopping for a few others for our babies to enjoy!

We purchased this mobile along with another Flensted mobile for our twins' bedroom. Other reviewers of these mobiles made comments about them being just paper and not worth the money. Yes they are just paper, but no one should be touching them so they should hold up just fine. Being made of paper allows them to move beautifully in the air--they also are really well balanced. They are so much nicer than the clunky, standard crib-mounted mobiles we had at first; those not only scratched up our crib, but they didn't spin well, had to be turned on to move, and once our children could reach them were worthless. The design of the bunnies is really cute too--they are in shades of gray with some white and the different positions that they are in add to the effect of them moving around. They really look like they are jumping and playing. Being ceiling mounted they can be hung and enjoyed indefinately. Regarding the price, we had a gift card that we used, otherwise we never would have spent this much on mobiles, but after hanging them I can say that they are worth it and I enjoy watching them as I sit in their room.

I bought this to hang in our babies' room, and it's extremly cute, and not too huge or fussy like many other mobiles sold through amazon.

UPS bent it a bit in shipping, the packing wasn't very good, just a piece of cardboard, with "do not bend" written on the side!

No major complaint except, make no mistake, it is NOT made of plastic. It is made of cardstock paper. It's somewhat glossy(possibly plastic coated) cardstock, but regardless, it's paper.

Over $33 for nothing more than a Danish version of paper cutouts? Literally! Paper! Sealed in cellophane, you can't even feel whatever is meant to be the hanger frame for the bunnies . No packaging to protect it in the mail, which was in a flimsy envelope.
Mobile's are meant to give babies something to enjoy looking at, & help in developing eventual coordination, for one thing.
This product fails the test in so many ways: durability, interest, value...you name it. It is an amazing rip-off!

We got this mobile for our newborn daughter's nursery and love it! It is lightweight and moves with the slightest breeze. The bunnies form many different arrangements so they look like they are playing together. The shadows they make are fun to watch too. I (Kent's Wife) have spent many hours in the nursery rocking chair enjoying the bunnies!
