I hate OPN ("other people's noise) so can't live without these. Tried all kinds and these foam work best for me. Affordable, too.

These are the only latex-free earplugs I have been able to find. I think that some of the non-latex ones are more effective at blocking out sound, but I would awake every morning with itchy ears. Am having trouble finding these in my local drugstore or Target. Once again, Amazon saves the day!

I got these instead of the 50pk one because the reviews stated that they aren't as good quality.

the 25pair pk I didn't notice any quality difference.

Ever since college I've been using them...they don't fall out like the others do. Follow suggestions from previous reviews...but also make sure you have clean hands when putting them in...and do it before you put on lotion. It's important to kinda hold it till it expend in your ears. Sometimes I do one and lay on the pillow to hold it while I put the other one in and hold with my hand. save time.

They do a good job keep out the noise. They are great on the airplane too. But be aware...you might get used to them like I did, have more trouble sleeping without them... But small price to pay for good night sleep. My husband now uses them too.

These earplugs are excellent and offer better noise reduction than most conventional rubber earplugs. The trick is, you have to roll them back and forth and compress them, put one in each ear, and push gently in, and hold there until the memory foam material expands to your ear canal.
First time fit is incredible, after repeated uses; each removal and reinsertion causes wear and reduces their elasticity. So yes, they do wear out, but they are the best.

My wife snores very loudly and I am a light sleeper. After trying all the ear plugs from the very soft to the more firm variety and from the bullet shaped to the cylinder shaped, the Quiet Please brand definitely works the best. Why? I believe it is because the end that goes into your ear better seals around the ear cavity and because the density of the foam blocks more of the low tones when people snore. Also, the secret is to 1) roll the ear plug with the fingers to reduce the shape before insertion and 2) hold the earplug inside the ear for about 10 seconds to give the foam time to expand against the ear cavity.

I've been using this brand of foam ear plugs since my NYC days and find now I can't sleep without them. I usually buy them from my local CVS, but they've stopped stocking them. The first batch I ordered from Amazon was a single box of 25 pairs and they were the same high quality I am used to. This latest order of the 'bonus' two-pack was way off. A number of the plugs were cropped in half, rendering them useless; others were really hard and uncomfortable...not the typical soft foam consistent in other packs of Flents. I've read other reviews about this QC issue from pack to pack and guess I have experienced it now as well.

My husband and I tried a bunch of different earplugs, first to try sleeping better on airplanes, then to drown out the snores of our aging dog at night (!). These earplugs are very noise-reducing AND they stay in the ear. Be sure to roll them up before inserting into the ear. They expand to fit.

Simply, I do not travel without these earplugs. I am not an overly light sleeper, but snoring and the sort of noise one finds in most hotels will wake me up. Those noises just are not a problem with these earplugs. They block out all the background noise. With that done, I can fall asleep and stay asleep without worrying about people talking in halls, slamming doors, and what not. Even better, they do not SO effective that my alarm will not wake me. Nice balance.

Also, the are comfortable enough to leave in all night, as well as to use night after night.

One note of caution, though: You need to insert them properly for them to be effective. You must roll them tightly and well into your ear canal. If you just try to cram them in, or if you do not insert them deeply enough, they will not do much for you. Likely, if you do not insert them properly, they also will not stay in.

I live on a very busy street, and for the last 7 years, I have used these ear plugs to sleep. I recommended them to a neighbor, who had tried many kinds of ear plugs that didn't work. She loved them. They are smaller than many of the long ones, so they may fit some women's ears better. If you haven't tried them before, I recommend buying a small pack to try them out. I highly recommend them.

My darling husband sounds like a hundred buzz saws every night. If not for these miraculous ear plugs, we would be sleeping in separate HOUSES! These are simply the best for sound suppression. They don't just reduce the noise; they almost eliminate it entirely. There is a caveat, however…as others have noted, you MUST read the directions and follow them faithfully to obtain optimum function. If you just shove them in your ears without compressing the ends first, they WILL NOT WORK. I cannot stress how important it is to properly fit them in your ear. You must roll them in your palms (or fingers) to squish (technical term) one end down into a point and quickly insert that newly pointed end into your ear canal. The plug will subsequently expand, filling the ear canal and ensuring a close fit. If you do not do this, they will not work properly. I'm betting everyone who has left a low rating has likely NOT followed the instructions. These truly are the best ear plugs on the market…at least for sound suppression. I cannot find them in local pharmacies so, thank you, Amazon, for offering them!!
