This review is from: In The Flesh (Hardcover)
This is a lyrical, intriguing novella - I would term it that as opposed to novel - that is definitely worth some attention. As the main character floats between consciousness and unconsciousness, experiencing visions of Hell and flashbacks inspired by Goethe, Greek mythology, and her own personal history you are drawn in to her world where she alternates between being an individual and an object. Insightfully philosophical and magically enchanting, this book deserves recognition here in America - it is said on the back of my copy that it is already a best seller in Germany.
