Book Description

The flesh traders kidnap daughters of the wealthiest people in the world, ship them secretly to Australia, brainwash and terrorise them before selling them as sex slaves in an exclusive underwater resort. Parents are forced to make regular ransom payments, or have their daughters killed. Only ex-detective Ben Hood (desperately attempting to take a relaxing holiday) could accidently stumble into an operation so sinister and dangerous. They know he knows. They have engaged the most bizarre and deadly hit man in Australia to take him out. Only a crazy person would attempt to smash this operation and try to rescue any of these girls. Then again, this is Ben Hood and they say he is a little crazy.

Thanks to the fate that let me discover yet another great fresh new author. It is said that you should write about what you know and this author sure knows about what he has written, according to his bio. This is apparently the third Ben Hood book and now I need to go back and read the others. I love the character and I love the development of the other characters.

This is a fast paced book filled with adventure, interesting characters, humor, suspense, mystery, and thrills. This plot keeps you turning pages and there is humor to relieve the tension. I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to reading all his others.

The Ben Hood Thrillers by Drew Lindsay are packed with plenty of action and excitement with just the right amount of humor. Every time I start one I have a very hard time putting it down.

Drew Lindsay has again addressed a disturbing subject with interesting Australian characters, locations in this fast paced action thriller. While there is violence, for it is after all a murder mystery, it fulfills my requirements that descriptions of violence, kidnapping and human trafficking be good but not be graphic or disgusting.

I would strongly recommend that you make your default dictionary the Oxford Dictionary of English. This Australian author uses Australian words and brand names which would make some descriptions muddy to those of us unfamiliar with them. So often authors from other countries seem to feel that they must cleanse their native words and use American words so we will understand the story. I am so glad this author didn't feel the need to take away the flavor of the story's culture and location for it is part of the reason I'm reading it in the first place.

I can't wait to start the third book. My only complain with this mystery series is that they don't have the book number in the title so I know which one to read next. They could have easily been called CORAL SEA AFFAIR (BEN HOOD THRILLER, BOOK 1)followed by BLACK MOUNTAIN AFFAIR(BEN HOOD THRILLER, BOOK 2), etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's Ben Hood, 'In The Flesh'! January 20, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Another great Ben Hood story, this time as much under the water as near it. The environment is fun and well built, the characters are right in line with the norm for the series, and Ben Hood is as far from taking a vacation as he's ever been.

Ben Hood takes on the purveyors of a human trafficking operation that serves up young women from around the world to its rich clientele. To do this, Ben Hood must use all of his skills and experience to rescue the girls trapped beneath the sea, as well as to keep himself alive.

Keep the Ben Hood books coming!

4.0 out of 5 stars Flesh Traders
Second of the Ben Hood series that I have read and enjoy his style. Captivating and doesn't go all off course like some thrillers tend to do so that you forget where you were.

This is the third Ben Hood book I have read & I enjoyed reading it. Though I found it to be very simular to the other two. They have started to become very predictable.
