I just received my FrameMaster today and was able to load and successfully use the tool within minutes. Each point was shot into the frames uniformly and snugly with no difficulty at all. One bit of advice that is mentioned in the directions is crucial: make sure that the frame is up against something solid (like the backsplash of a workbench) when using the tool so that the point inserts at the desired depth. This tool is well deserving of my 5-star rating!

This product is easy to use and works well. It is saving me a lot of money on framing. I find that I use it more than I thought that I would.

We are professional photographers and when we put an image in a wood frame this is the easiest and fastest way we have found. Highly recommend. Tell us if you find something better.

I use this point driver in a photography studio and it works quite well. It is well made, easy to use and does what it's intended to do. I plan to purchase one for framing my own photography work.

I purchased the Point Driver as a professional photographer doing much of my own framing. I was disappointed that the driver never fired with enough force to secure the points in the frame. I braced the frame against a surface and adjusted the tension as tight as could be yet never received satisfactory results. In fact, despite how tight I adjusted the tension, the pointer never fired differently. I do not use 'hard wood' or any materials that would be difficult to penetrate. Each time I used my Fletcher point driver I had to push points in with a flathead screwdriver by hand to secure them in the wood and keep them from falling out when the frame was lifted. Very disappointing, particularly with the price tag.

I did quite a bit of research to identify the best item for framing my artwork, and the Fletcher-Terry point driver came highly rated. I have been frustrated with other drivers and could only hope this one lived up to its reputation. It did, and I am totally pleased with the results. Do follow other reviewers' suggestions to brace your frame against a solid wall or door before using using this point driver. It's quite powerful, and the bracing will ensure your frame does not jerk as the point is driven in, resulting in a sloppy, insecure point that was intended to secure your art.

I took a photo framing class and learned on this. My instructor also recommended this model for amateur framers. Once I got home I immediately ordered one. All you can say is that it simply does the job.

Recently had to mat, glass, and frame 80 workes of art in various sizes. Used the Fletcher-Terry Point Driver with much success. I used a foam board back board for the art work, and could really press the point driver DOWN FLAT against the foam board before shooting the points into the frames. Do not hold at an angle or the points stick out too far above the edge of the frame to put brown paper on the back of the frame to prevent entry of dust.

NOTE: Always push your frame edge against a very firm edge that won't move (like a board secured to your work surface). I used the bottom edge of a bookcase full of books, and just kept rotating the frame I was working on around until I finished driving in the points on all four sides. Always brace your frame against a very solid edge before using the driver. You will get a much better driven point than just loosly holding the frame without bracing it.

Just really powerful, easy to load (use the Fletcher-Terry products in this driver)and makes a tedious job go quickly and professionally. Would recommend this product to any artist, hobbyist, or student needing to mat and glass works. Great company to deal with. Fast delivery and well-packaged for safety of shipment.

This is a fabulous tool. Shoots framer's points or glazier's points into wood with no effort and no learning curve. I've had mine for decades. It's so well-made and durable that it works just as expertly and consistently now as it did the day I first got it. I wouldn't be without it, and it makes a great gift!

My professor introduce this to us as a way of teaching us how to put our frames together. The use of it wasn't difficult and was easy to use and very helpful, so I decided to buy one for myself!
