Shatter the Glass,
By Fire guy "fire guy" (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fleurs Du Mal (MP3 Download)
My first review - listened to the CD and watched the video. Plus saw the live Sarah performance in Atlanta last week. This is a most incredable song, as another reviewer says, it starts slow and goes to hights, I add it goes to glass shattering high notes. Very dramatic. Yes the album cover is gothic drama but the music is great.
At the Amazon price this is a bargain. I am about to wear out the CD.

Hilarious!,
By Richard Stone "Author" (Grand Rapids, Michigan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fleurs Du Mal (MP3 Download)
This song defines excessive. It ascends from riviting violins in the beginning to a soft verse, only to gear up for a bombastic chorus screaming into your ears and the lead vocalist hitting notes no human being should be able to get to. Oh my word, and the lyrics, I laughed out loud when I heard "In this perfume of pain"! It is like a woman's version of Bind Guardian! That and the ridiculous gothy cover made this song some exceedingly entertaining schlock, and that's a compliment. The rest of the album was boring formulaic musical schlock, but this song always puts a smile on my face.
