5.0 out of 5 stars cute, well-made, insulated backpack
My daughter used this for her second semester of Pre-K. The backpack was easier for her to carry than the shoulder strap lunch bag she used before. It also has pads on the bottom to help it stand. There is an insulated bottle holder on one side and space for food containers on the other side. It can fit a Thermos Funtainer bottle, food jar and snack jar or a bottle, a...

1.0 out of 5 stars Fleurville Lunch Pak--fell apart!!
We purchased this lunch pak for our daughter who really wanted a backpack-style lunch bag for school. After about 2 weeks of gentle, daily use, we noticed the silver reflective fabric began falling apart at the seam bordering the zipper of the larger compartment in several places, and has begun to unravel. In addition, the zipper of the smaller compartment has begun to...

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased this lunch bag for my nine year old son. It is a insulated and zippered so items stay in. The colors and design look even better in person. I am happy with this purchase and my son loves it.

In addition, the zipper of the smaller compartment has begun to stick, and even pull apart when closed. Buyers beware! For $32 and a seemingly well-constructed and attractive lunch bag, this one has zero durability!! We are really disappointed. The quality seemed very good when it first arrived in the package, but did not hold up.

My daughter used this for her second semester of Pre-K. The backpack was easier for her to carry than the shoulder strap lunch bag she used before. It also has pads on the bottom to help it stand. There is an insulated bottle holder on one side and space for food containers on the other side. It can fit a Thermos Funtainer bottle, food jar and snack jar or a bottle, a sandwich container, small bowl and an ice pack. It has a sturdy handle on top and the back straps can be unhooked and stored in a pocket on the back, which has a place to write the child's name. The pocket on the front is also insulated. It's not big enough to store large art projects, but it can fit an envelope or folded letter-size papers.

This is good for kids who carry lunch, but don't need a big bag to carry books. Since the straps can unhook, you can also attach this bag to another one if you need to use more than one.

It's made without PVC or any other toxic materials and it also has reflectors on the front and back for added safety. The description here says it's machine washable, but the company recommends against that. I just clean it with a damp soapy cloth or a wipe.

1.0 out of 5 stars Falls apart too quickly, March 5, 2011
I purchased this item to be used as a snack bag for my daughter. About 2 months later the stitches that attaches cup holder inside started to fall apart. Then the loop to hold the bag on the upper part, also started to come undone. I contacted the manufacter and they never got back to me. I would never buy another Fleurville product again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed., March 1, 2010

I, too, had the same issue with the mesh becoming separated on this lunch bag but I really loved the size of this bag. It was perfect for my pre-k'er. After daily use for 6 months, I decided to replace it with another. I went to attach the shoulder straps and the plastic clip broke off right in my hand. I brought it back to the store, they replaced it for me and wouldn't you know it, it broke again. I compared the clips with one from our older bag and they are noticeably thinner now, clearly prone to breaking. I love this bag for it's size and the idea of it but at the end of the day, the construction is shoddy. Especially for the steep price tag.
