If you aren't used to these retractable leashes, they're great. Your hand is only on the handle (not on other parts of the leash to manipulate the length), so it's more sanitary. With just your thumb, you control the braking and locking system (push down on the big button for the brake and slide up the small switch to lock the length in place).

Khufu loves that he can roam around (up to 16 feet!) wherever his nose takes him, and I love how I can be responsible and cautious by shortening the length of the leash when there are people or other dogs around.

Compared to the Flexi Classic models that I've owned, the Flexi Expression is more comfortable to hold because there's a thin rubber layer over the grip handle.

This model is also an all BELT leash (1 cm width), which I think is safer than the all CORD models. Ever have leg burns with the cord? Ouch! And I've never had tangling issues with this belt model.

From personal experience, I recommend for small breeds (even strong ones that yank and pull). I can't comment for larger breeds that require more restraint.

First, I bought this particular leash in part because I like pink. I thought, "As long as I am spending the money, I'll get a fun color." In addition, I chose this because the leash part is not a small, round cord but is instead flat. This feature adds safety to the leash.

In the several weeks I have been using it, the leash has been very durable and hardy. My 7 yo sister (I am >20) lost her hold on the leash during a walk and my dog sprinted the rest of the way home, dragging the leash behind him for 2 blocks. It is now a little scratched but still works perfectly and looks as good as new from 5 or 10 feet away. (But we need to work on our obedience!!)

I have no reservations recommending this leash to anybody.

This is my first retractable leash and so far the product quality seems to be very good. There's a small learning curve for first-time retractable leash owners on how to properly release the lock without having the leash reel back in too quickly in certain situations. I think my Shiba prefers it to a fixed length leash due to being able to roam around when I leave the leash in the unlocked postion.

My dog has a tendency to chew at the leash line, so I attached a short one foot extender to the end and this seems to be working out as she chews on the easily replaced extension rather than the retractable leash line.

I have been using this leash for a month.
The cord looks fragile but it is not!!
I love this leash, don't be scared to buy, it is very comfortable in hand, it is strong - well made, colors are beautiful.
Will buy again for my seconds dogie.

I can't tell you how many obsolete leashes there are in my junk drawer, leashes that broke for no apparent reason after very little use. This leash is by far the best made and most reliable leash Phoebe and I have ever had. Online purchase was simple and order fulfillment and delivery was speedy and professionally done.

This leash has a comfortable handle and is very easy to use. It definetely is high quality and built to last. The colors are really vibrant as well. A great product!!!! Flexi is the only brand I would consider.

This is a very good lead and I have ordered more of the same leads. The Expression lead works well, but the flat cable does tear after it has twisted many times. I can live with tearing and my dog does not chew the cord as before. Flexi has a very good product in the Expression line of leads.

This is really a nice leash. I have had other retractable leashes that on return burn your fingers and hurt, this one has a ribbon so it does not do that. You are easily able to hold on to it at any point and not get your finger hurt by burning or rapping around your finger. I love the way it retracts . Also , I have the pink and red model, and is it really quite pretty . Once in a while the leash has gotten knots in it, but so far, I have been able to easily fix it. I wish I could find an even longer one in these colors.

This is exactly what I was looking for, an all belt Flexi leash that was not too bulky as our dog is a Sheltie and weighs about 25 pounds. Very lightweight and small.

This is a fantastic leash! If you're walking more than one dog, it doesn't tangle or give rope burns. I HIGHLY recommend this product!! MUCH better than the traditional retractable leashes. Not recommended for a puppy that's still chewing.
