More like an overalls pocket, not a shirt pocket :)

I am quite happy with this little tripod because it allows me to take steady shots without the need to carry a heavy 'full' tripod with me.

While, it's true that it can't raise much higher than a few inches over the surface on which it stands, it can do things that a regular tripod won't do such as supporting a camera on a very rough surface or even attaching itself to and hanging off a tree branch or a fence or sitting on top of your car. The three flexible, rubber-coated plastic legs are made out of six segments each, connected through plastic ball joints. They don't look like much but they can easily support a full SLR camera without a problem. However, I would not risk having this hanging off a tree if the camera has some huge, heavy lens attached to it.

FEATURES THAT I LIKED:

- light weight
- small and easy to carry
- flexible legs allow for a lot of versatility
- easily supports small through medium-sized (regular SLR) cameras
- the camera mount is very small - 1 inch in diameter and 1/4 inch thick
- tripod connects easily and securely to the camera

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:

- connection between the tripod body and camera mount does not seem too durable (plastic on plastic) but time will tell
- lacks a case (I knew that when I ordered it but it's worth stating it)
- looks a little cheap (but who's looking?)
- doesn't extend to be 4-5 ft. tall (unrealistic expectation)

MY RATING:

Overall, after a few days of use I am very happy with this add-on. I rarely used a tripod in the past because they tend to be heavy and inconvenient to set up. With this one, I've already taken a couple of Moon shots and a few FULL family pics. And, YES, I did attach it to a tree branch and took pictures from there, just for the fun of it.

It's a 4-star, meaning 'I like it'.

I bought this for my sister, and she loves it b/c it's small enough to go in her purse and is flexible. However, it is much better with digital cameras as opposed to full size "real" cameras b/c of the weight.

This Tripod is terrific for tabletop work. We use it for students doing stop motion animation. It truly can take any shape and securely holds a small camera. It's unique design is also fun just to play with, and even people with no immediate need want to purchase it. I found the best price at Amazon.com.

Works fairly well. I do wish it were a tad longer (telescoping feature?). When I use this, I usually have to try and find a stool or chair high enough to set it on to be of use.

The 1/4-20 screw used to attach cameras to the tripod was not machined correctly and did not fit securely in any camera I had. I replaced it with the gorillapod and had no further problems. The portable links in the legs of this model were also somewhat rectangular, which limited its range of motion compared to other tripods.
